Razor: Edwin Jagger DE89 // Blade: Personna red // Soap: Abbate y La Mantia Krokos (Sample) // Brush: Whipped Dog // Aftershave: Thayers medicated Witch Hazel (Sample) mixed with Jojoba Oil

First class shave!!! The soap performed very very well. Lathered up nicely, had a good scent (a bit weak for me, but very good) and gave a great cushion. The Thayers paired with Jojoba Oil was fantastic.

Good shave today. My three English Techs are all great shavers. The GSB felt like it was dragging a bit, so I may be binning it soon. I am definitely going to be buying another puck of MWF when this one is gone.

Another fine shave on a rainy morning. In fact, we've had heavy rain for about a week now and the morning shaves have been a "ray of sunshine" on otherwise crappy days. Now go enjoy your day folks.

As some of you have seen when I first worked on this brush, I originally installed a synthetic knot onto it. But, circumstances have changed, especially when I left it too close to the edge of the table. My 2.5 month old puppy, Apollo, thought he had a new chew toy. Well, you can probably guess what happened to that knot, so in went the boar knot. Ok, now on to the shave. Voskhod blades seem to work great in open comb razors for me, and with a few shaves with this razor, it kept doing so. Two passes with some touch up for a very smooth BBS shave.

It's been raining here for 3 days and after I finished everything I had to finish I decided to relax and have a great shave. It was an excellent 3 passes with an amazing lather that I whipped up in my new The Distinctive Goat Maple Cherry wood bowl.

 

My prayers are for your strength Jeff.

 

New stuff today. I let my beard grow for three days to give my new Merkur Futur razor a workout. I also tried Stirling Black Cherry soap for the first time. A most excellent shave! The rest of the set up included my SOC boar and Captain's Choice bowl. Followed up with Cella after shave. The Black Cherry smells great and as usual with Stirling - gives a wonderful dense lather. Really like this soap. Very clean and refreshing scent. The Futur razor is heavy! I used a new Polsilver SI blade. Started with a setting of "1" for the first pass. Went to "2" for the second and third. A very comfortable smooth and close shave. Next time I'll go up in the settings and see where the cut off point is where it becomes too aggressive. Very easy to load the blade - no adjusting to get equal exposure on each side - lined up perfectly. Very pleased with this purchase.
