My new Slim arrived in today's post. It was manufactured in 1966 (L4) and appears as though it is new. It works perfectly, and I doubt it has seen much use. I gave it a try and got the usual DFS from the Slim.

Trials and Tribulations

June 6

Final shave with the Super-Max Stainless Plus as well as Tuesday - which means head shave. Head shave first with the 23c and Arko and no problems. I actually was a bit disappointed about halfway through I didn't use a pain stick instead. It's been awhile since I've done that for a head shave. Next week.

My thoughts on this blade held up. The baby showed up on the aggressive 9 and it was still smooth, though the alum was a tad hotter. Still, from the feel of the shave I could tell this blade works best in an aggressive setup, indicating that my feeling it was less sharp than the Platinum Plus was correct. Still a very fine blade. So far I would recommend either or both of the the Plus blades, Platinum or Stainless. Use the Platinum with milder razors, the Stainless with the more aggressive.

I think tomorrow is about time to roll out some tribulation around here. I'm thinking shavette. Bad shavette. Or at least potentially bad shavette. I'll choose my weapon tomorrow night!

Six fine shaves in the past week from the Fatboy! I'll switch to the Slim when I resume trials.

No picture today. On vacation. Quick evening shave after everything wound down. Nice results, but SWMBO didn't care for the Stirling Bergamot Lavender scent. It's not my favorite either, which is good since I only have a sample. Oh well. Have a great evening!

1948 Gillette Blue Blade.
Proraso Yellow aerosol shave cream.
Nivea post shave balm.
Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve as.
360 Red cologne.

As always this Milord Tech performed flawlessly, along with the accompanying software, to provide a fantastic BBS in a ten minute two pass Shave. These old Milord Tech razors are not only great looking razors, but they shave well too. I'm pretty impressed with my examples. Have a great night everyone!

How's that shave soap treating you? Any scent?
Took me a little searching to find a little info. Seems Proraso releases For The Masses canned foam to test the waters. Later if it markets well, there may be tubes or tubs.
For dry skin contains;

• COCOA BUTTER provides skin protection
• SHEA BUTTER keeps the skin soft and supple
• MACADAMIA OIL provides nourishment

Hi, I only notice a slight lanolin scent. But my sinuses are infected. I can't really smell anything. However, the skin on my face feels fantastic! Very soft and supple. The Proraso Yellow is good stuff. Have a good night!
