Today's shave was very nice. Ole#7 silvertip performed flawlessly. Three passes with My Dad's black beauty. Finish with a double tap of alum and balm. I came to a few conclusions today;
1) badger is king. I maybe could figure a way to make as good a lather, with a similar feel. And i may get better with the synthetics (i like the idea) but for now in my den, BADGER is the benchmark of excellence and performance.
2)I have been working toward improvement shaving with longer handled razors. I recently acquired some longer razors, working toward excellence with today's razor (my dad's). I am very confident I've perfected (or very close) the longer handle.
3) I think astra ss are smoother and maybe sharper than asta sp. The difference is small but noticeable to me. (I wonder if i could tell blind, hmmm)
Rainy in central Florida, but I'm smooth and smellin ' nice.
