Eh. I've found that while I've been able to drive any DE razor and get good results, there _are_ differences that still stand out. Some pretty strange, too. That's why the Fatip went to someone else to play with.

They are, but not all products are available outside the EU and U.K.

Badges? We don't need badges! (or even Badgers!. Today, on Raul's Wild Kingdom, we gonna teach poodles how to fly!)

I have not found a source for the after shave yet.

Edit * I posted before I saw your post about my post.

No. Being contradictory to those of substance around me, while asserting ignorance and wielding lack of skill as a bludgeon is more my style.

Man, 30 years of DE's... (and I'm STILL a bit apprehensive about playing with the razors @DaltonGang honed for me. )

Skill level does not always equate to time spent in play.

When you had to learn how to use dollar store blades to get BBS... you learn quickly. Especially during the wasteland years of being too cheap/broke to buy expensive blades, and squeezing extra shaves out of them :p When I switch to another razor, or blade, it takes about half a shave to figure out what that one is doing differently, and adjust. Two shaves in, and I'm back to speed. Except for Voskhod. That one was pitched quickly. What I _am_ still working on, and know I have a way to go? Soap and brush. I know I've made some crappy lather, and only my experience using Safeguard and Irish Spring to shave is keeping me from turning my face to hamburger. (Go slow, and keep the blade angle right!)

I'm still eyeballing the Rolls and the straights, and working out how eager I am to start a new learning curve. I think I'll work more with the soap and brush for a while. I may change brushes to another 'brand' once I finish the VDH.

Just get some slick Stirling Shave Soap, and one of your straights, and get to work. You can watch and read all you want about SR Shaving, but the learning doesn't start until the blade hits the whiskers.

    28th Wedding Anniversary Shave
    June 11, 2017
    Wolfman Ti OC (.74mm)

    Brothers Bristles with Tuxedo
    Fine Platinum

Since Mom felt much better with the change in meds, I came home late yesterday. Today is our 28th Wedding Anniversary but we have a lot going on so celebrations will be later this coming week. I am officially ending my soap a week run. I have too many nice soaps that I would like to enjoy more often. I will continue the June Focus on synthetic brushes though. Up today is the Brothers Bristles solid aluminum handle with the Tuxedo knot. The Fine Platinum was so easy to lather and I just love the scent. This Wolfman with the increased blade gap is one of my most efficient DE razors. The shaves are exceptionally close but smooth. Two passes and touch ups along the jawline almost caught the baby. A splash of Fine Platinum and I am ready for the day. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

11 June 2017 Citrus Sunday Blade Focus Shave

Pre: Plenty of hot water, some soap off the puck and a hot towel
Razor: Schick Korona of unk. era
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
Brush: JR#161 NY Mets Special Edition
    Soap: Regiment Shaving "High Speed"
Post: Hot/Cold rinse, alum block, Dominello Vitali Calming Post Shave Moisturizer, cold towelx2
    After Shave: the Clubman

First shave with the Schick Korona.
If I had to compare it to my other razors, I'd say it shaves like my SS Black Tip. With the GSB locked and loaded, a full load of "High Speed", I got 2.5 passes of shaving excellence!!
There was a very little jawline cleanup. What a fantastic Citrus Sunday shave. A great way to start the shave week. Tomorrow the rubber meets the road however, with the first Work Week Shave. Have a great Sunday everyone!!
