    Had a very Menthol-y Morning

    Prep - shower
    Pre - Badger Balm pre-shave oil
    Brush - Maggard 24mm purple handle synthetic
    Razor - Gillette NEW LC ball-end handle
    Blade - Astra SP (3)
    Soap - C.O. Bigelow
    Post - Alum, Thayer's Rose WH, AV 5-in-1 balm
    AS - Proraso Green Splash + Osage Rub
    Frag - none

    It was a good shave.

    Another great shave with this razor. Two passes with just a hint of touch up for an excellent and smooth BBS shave.

    I was just about to ask what you thought of it. Seen a few around but never picked one up. How would you compare it to a SS Flare? That is if you have one.

    Yeah, have a bunch of Super Speeds and they do shave great also. I personally use Lab Blues or Israeli Personna Stainless blades with them. Sharp blades work great on Super Speeds. The New Long Comb is a bit more aggressive, but with the right blade, I get pretty smooth and comfortable shaves with it. It's a perfect razor, for me anyway, for getting BBS shaves with only two passes with a bit of touch up.
