Down the road from me is a Ferrari and Maserati dealership. In the other direction, also along the L.I.E. is a Lamborghini dealership. Talk about getting the drools.

All I can afford right now is my 8 yr old Scion TC but no one can stop me from dreaming.

My cousin had an Aston Martin DB9 but got rid of it because the Land Rover wasn't very reliable and he needed something more practical so he got a Porsche Panamera. They just do not hold a candle to the Italians. Nice but different.

I will say that once a week or so, someone is seen driving to and from those dealerships so you get accustom to the sound they make. I guess the Gold Coast of Long Island still has money. Too bad I cannot get my hands on some of it.

I appreciate you passing the shavette along Andrew @Linuxguile! The previous ones I've used were scaled in plastic or aluminum - light weight. This is stainless steel with a minimal style but a little heft. The clip that holds the blade in was just a little loose, but a gentle squeeze produced enough tension to make it function better. I was real close to picking up one of those SRX that others are enjoying. Don't need to because I like this one!

    Knot: APShaveCo Cashmere
    Soap: Chiseled Face Civet
    Post Care: Thayers Witch Hazel

    Osage Rub
    Aftershave: Stirling Unscented
    Fragrance: Zoologist Civet

Wow! What a fantastic shave I had this morning. I love everything about this soap; the scent is amazing, kind of a spicy floral, it's very slick once the water is dialed in (slightly thirsty) and has a great post shave feel. The 30DC brush did a great job lathering up this incredible soap and the Chimera slid through a couple days of growth. Have a great day folks!

These were not made for a wedge. The only wedge blade razor I have is a rolls. I will con someone into honing it up for me soon.

Will be waiting to see how you like tha Parker!

If you want to try a Parker let me know.

I won't go that far, but I have revised my opinion of them upwards. The problem, I think, is the coating (or lack thereof) and that they may perform better in a more aggressive razor. I'm curious to get Neal's read on them.

OTOH, I have been pleasantly surprised by both the regular ST-301 and STP-301 Prime Platinum. I'm going to have to get some Titan blades one of these days, for comparison.

I am not hooked on coatings. I get just as good of shaves with uncoated blades. Then again I do not DE much at all.

I find that they can give a decent shave in most of the razors I've tried them on. Another gentleman I introduced to DE shaving is having excellent luck with them, and has significantly reduced his 'razor bump' problem. I just handed him a pack of Derby to try as well.

I don't see a need to buy them regularly now - the Astra SP is such a class above. Why spend the time for a good shave with Dorco, when I can relax and get a good shave with Astra in less time? :) (I didn't have as good of luck with the Astra SS)
