    This is the razor I learned to straight shave with. I haven't used it in a while and it's homecoming was sharp and smooth. :happy036:

    Great photo Hodge. Does your vintage Simm's brush have a wooden handle. I have a couple of vintage Simm's, but they are all plastic.

    Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #2 badger brush. I did the two passes with the Gillette Double Ring razor and Gillette Silver Blue blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pinaud Vegetal AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    I'm pretty tired and I think it affected my technique with my shave. Usually my head is the easiest part of the shave, but today I had several knicks.

    Thanks Roderick. The Simm's brush does have a wooden handle that I refinished.
    Nice photo Guy. I'm jealous, im still waiting for my Le Grand Chypre to arrive.

    Really enjoying the Rossa soap. Much more scent than the Verde in my opinion. Haven't used Lucky Tiger Disappearing Cream for some time and I don't know why. It is great stuff.

    Tonight's shave was with an Old razor, that I just restored and honed. I dont know anything about it, other than it's a "Warranted" Stubtail, and it's a full on wedge. It took a sharp edge, and I had a smooth 2 pass shave, that left me with a DFS. Better than I expected.
