    Razor: Gillette President (Y1)(1953)
    Blade: Voskhod Teflon Coated (5)
Brush: Shavemac ATG LE The Rowl Silvertip
    Soap: Nuavia Rossa
    Lucky Tiger Disappearing Cream
    Aftershave: Floid Vigoroso
Bowl: The Distinctive Goat Sinker Cypress Wood
Really enjoying the Rossa soap. Much more scent than the Verde in my opinion. Haven't used Lucky Tiger Disappearing Cream for some time and I don't know why. It is great stuff.

    Head & Face shave

    Classic Samurai shavette
    Vie-Long
    Fine Snake Bite Soap
    Thayers Medicated
    Aqua Velva

I think being tired affected my technique. Usually my head is easier to shave than my face, but today I have several knicks.

Great razor, Brian. The PRC edge is probably the best one I have tried yet.

Someone went on vaca, and I got better than a tee-shirt! (Thank you Chris @Bama Samarui) I tried a sample of Truefitt & Hill cream lavender from The Pass Around Box. Don't recall it being spectacular or lousy. This hard soap is worth recommending. I didn't grab a synth or boar brush as is my usual for milled products. Badgers have given me issues when loading other than creams. No worries here. Opened the box, unwrapped the refill puck, and installed it what I'm guessing is upside down. The rounded end of the shape may be designed for the wooden bowl, but the flat end snugged right into a Grundtal screwtop Ikea dish. Moistened the soap with cool tap water, spun the dish to avoid any more tangles in the Whipped Dog knot, and went to the beard to build lather. First time using it so I had no expectations. It produced plenty, and I could see the brush held more. A little between finger and thumb showed how much slip and slide this stuff gives. WTG with the A-5 Gillette, relathered for ATG. Then I checked to see about the residual properties. Slippery stuff. A little more water in the brush, another face full of lather. XTG, spot lathered for touch ups. The soap rinses clean with no residue on razor or bowl. That amazed me for how much glide it leaves after a pass. A DFS+ finish that was pleasantly hydrating.
From the T&F website the scent is,"Soft base notes of sandalwood, tonka and cedarwood, while delicate middle accords of lavender, thyme and jasmin blend easily with fruity twists of pineapple and melon. Top notes of lemon and bergamot give a perfect finishing touch." To my nose I get the light lemon. No where near an Arko deep citronella. I think this will be my Soap 'o the Week!
    Good Shaves Y'all!

I didn't even think about it. I just inserted the key, slide the tab and done. Sometimes ignorance is power.

    Thursday shave:

Today is very very hollow ground load razor, Drew Dick 5/8. Wet lather dripping everywhere provided a slick base for four passes. "A"s across the board.

While I do enjoy a loud soap, if the scent is pleasant, this was just my first lather. Is does smell good, doesn't take much loading, and seems good and thirsty like a hard milled soap will be. The residual slickness is a bonus!
Thanks for the 'Corn! Trade you a gator?

There is no way not to enjoy the brush. The handle is the perfect size. Loving the tuxedo knot too. BULLY!!

Some of the older Gem-blade SE razors work better if the blade is shimmed to mimic the thicker blades originally used by the razor. Carefully pull the back spine off an old blade then break it apart and use one side under the back of the blade in the razor to raise it a bit. This changes the angle of the blade in the razor to match exactly the angle of the original blades and can make a big difference with some razors.

I have found it doesn't matter with my Damaskeene or my 1912s, but my 1914 and my 1924s are unusable for me without a shim.
