Great picture Clint. The background really make the Tres Amigos brush pop out. It's also a great brush.

This was one of the most enjoyable shaves I've had all week. I had intended to use the regular MITA this morning but I upgraded to the Glacial one because the weather forecast is for hot, humid conditions today. Anyhow, the lather was just brilliant - rich, slick, and frigid. My Plissoft synthetic really drove that stuff into my face and my Super Speed/Astra combination got me mega-BBS in three fun-filled passes. A little Lucky Tiger a/s balm followed by a couple of splashes of the Rubby Dubby Doo, and that freeze was really magnified! A great day to all!

17 June 2017 Had an exceptional 7th shave with the Gillette Nacet blade. Very tempted to keep on using it, but then I'd have to re-calculate when my blade supply will be exhausted. (I'm good for 13+ years as of today) Also used up the last of the Aqua Velva Ice Blue aftershave. Starting tomorrow and for that week, I'll be using Speick shaving cream and use up what's left in a bottle of Aqua Velva Musk.

In the soap, the menthol is quite understated. It's a subtle tingle. The splash steps it up a little more, but still light. Overall the set is a very nice Summertime product that starts as a legitimate grapefruit note including a sharpness that conveys not only the flesh, but also the peel of said grapefruit. The splash does the same thing, but the drydown after about 30 minutes reveals the oakmoss adding some depth and complexity and thus less whimsical fragrance. The staying power is about 4 hours for me.
