Hi Jorvaljr, I have two yards of decent quality velvet. I bought it on eBay. I use it to reline some of the razor cases for some of the ABC sets I used to get. Any way, one color is dark blue, and the other is a dark red. If you would like, I could mail you enough to do your lining. One or both colors is ok with me. If you are interested, I can post photos of the material, so you can check out the color. Free of charge of course. It would be my pleasure. @Jorvaljr - I use 3M spray adhesive that is rated photo safe for installing the Velvet. But I have also used plain old Elmers glue, and a couple of other adhesives that are spread on the surface that you are gluing the Velvet to. Two rules of thumb are don't use too much, and don't press down on the Velvet too hard. I know you can make it look good. Do it!!!

Hi all, tonight's project is a 1910 Gillette ABC set. It just arrived at my house today. Here's the before photos-

The liner needs replaced, but I'm going to wait on that. Most of the silver plating is gone on the case, but there's nothing I can do about that. Have a great day all!

I wanted to see how using a toothbrush to polish knurling worked so I took a toothbrush with a dab of Mothers Mag and Aluminum polish to this Fatboy.

This was after cleaning but before polishing:



And after polishing:



I am pretty happy with the result. I think I will continue to use this method to shine up my razors.

Fantastic, Andrew! That Mothers is a great product. I first learned about it 30 years ago when I was looking for a good polish for my 81 Sportster. I have been using it ever since. Good work my friend!
