    The heavy traffic over there is good for the B/S/T forum, but I've seen plenty of threads over there not get a single reply. That bugs me.

    That much traffic and a thread goes without even an acknowledgment? :confused:

    Guess it must be like Johan says, it gets bumped off the new posts page so quickly.

    But I can understand what you guys are saying. It was like that for me when we all left.

    In the spirit of where Will was headed earlier:
    I had no idea how much thought, and planning went into a place like this. We all do the best we can to make this place what it is, but even we have made some mistakes.

    I'm glad most of you enjoy it here, hopefully we're doing something right :D, but like a couple others have said, let's not let this go all negative. There's probably a newbie lurking now, wondering what we're all about here. I'd hate for them to stumble across this thread, and just think we're all about bashing other places. I have no doubt there are people at B&B, and SMF, that don't care for TSD. Choices are a good thing.

    Can we nudge this thread back to the original topic :o

    Mitchell's Wool Fat... the more I use it, the more I don't like it. The container sure is purdy though.

    Hits:
    * Giving up the cartridge and canned goo
    * Learning about proper technique
    * Meeting some really cool and GENEROUS people
    * Learning to relax, take my time, and concentrate on my shave
    * Learning that shaving can be something to be enjoyed, not agonized over
    * Getting rid of, as my doctor called it, "shaving related eczema" and not having to use prescription medicine anymore
    * Fatboy
    * Crystals (for the time being...I have a feeling they'll fall to "Miss" next year)
    * my $55 custom turned silvertip brush from Penchetta (PenWorks)
    * Tabac Soap, TOBS Sandalwood Cream, TOBS Avocado Cream, VDH Soap, C&E Sandalwood Soap
    * Being given my great-grandfathers T.V. (Limoges, FR) ca 1920-ish shave mug
    * discovering steaming my face as part of my prep
    * Oil Cleansing Method

    Misses:
    * my Gillette SuperSpeed (I don't think it's heavy enough for me)
    * Derbys, Bic Chrome, Red Pack IPs
    * Tom's of Maine mint - although I think I need to revisit it
    * hot towel treatment - not for me
    * not having the cash flow to properly fund my new found ADs
    * Not giving the TSD it's fair shake when I first found it...


    Off Topic: Add my name to the list of "Banned from B&B" - although admittedly I did make a jacka$$ post even after all the warnings going on over there....and I did literally ask for it too, "And I'll take the ban for that!" I fully take responsibility for my actions, but let's just say that alcohol, an emotional night, and a short temper don't go well together and I spouted off at the mouth.

    Don't worry mods, you won't see it here.
