June 26, 2017 OneBlade Core Feather Romera Olive Wood Synthetic Fine L’Orange Noir The Romera made short work of lathering up the L'Orange Noir. I did notice that the residual slickness seems less than I normally have. It could be the water is harder. However, the Core just took it all in stride. Since the Core is a milder razor, I have found it requires skin stretching to achieve optimal results. I am consistently getting exceptionally smooth and close shaves that equal or rival many of my razors and surpass others. I hope everyone has a great day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
June 26, 2017 Razor: Schick E2 Injector Blade: Personna (2) Brush: Cremo by Vie-Long Cream: KMF fragrance-free Post: Alum, Listerine, WH Second shave with the E2 and Personna blade, this time with two days growth. Despite advice to the contrary, the razor and blade combo seems to work well for me. I'd call it a BBS or near enough with no incidents. Alum was quiet though I think I may have a small irritated patch on my neck. I continued to be impressed with this razor.
26 June 2017 Menthol Monday Blade Focus Shave Pre: Hot water, soap off the puck and a hot towel Razor: 1966 Schick Krona Blade: the Voskhod, pride of the Rodina Brush: Omega 10098 Soap: Catie's Bubbles "Sunrise" Post: Hot/Cold water rinse, alum block, cold towelx2, Dominello Vitali Calming Post Shave Moisturizer After Shave: Proraso Green Lozione Dopobarba Since it's Menthol Monday, I broke out the Catie's Bubbles "Sunrise". A very refreshing cool way to start a shave/work week! The big Omega boar manufactured a great slick lather. The Schick Krona/Voskhod duo delivered a fantastic 2.5 pass shave. No neck cleanup today. Over the weekend I cruised the Interwebs and boned up on J hooking. This morning, I very carefully employed this technique on my lower neck. For the first time there was no rough patches in that area. More use/practice is indicated! Splashed on some Proraso Green and the week is off and running! Happy Monday people!!

My focus this month is avoiding razor burn on my cheekbones. I have always struggled with this, even back in my cart days. I be had a good month so far, but struggled today. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. The only thing better can think of is that I'm getting the angle wrong in that spot. Otherwise, this was a great shave. Great photo and location, Clint! I have heard SV 70th is a dupre of Acqua di Gio, does it smell like Stirling Dunshire ? Another way you can spot a A TV special is the knurling, it has no horizontal grooves in the knurling, only vertical grooves. Awesome photo, Jim. Are you going to see how may shaves you can get out of the Rapira PL ? Great photo, Clint! Looks like any blade will work well in the Krona! Awesome theme, Mark! Lovely setup Brian, that Siren sure is enticing!
Thank you, Andrew! I am going to try to find how long I can with these blades. My goal is to get 20 shaves out of a blade.
SOTD June 25th (yesterday) Birthday shave '82 C2 Gillette Super Adjustable @ 7 (Birth quarter Razor) Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Stainless (5) The Blades Grim "Smolder" Soap and AS Restored Anchorset w/ 24MM Game changer knot Yesterday I had an amazing shave to start an Amazing birthday. My wife made a fabulous pancake breakfast. Then in the afternoon we took my son out to the park and had a picnic on the grass under a nice big shade tree. And then we finished off the day with a nice dinner and a homemade birthday cake. It was so relaxing just to spend the day with my family and not worry about all the things that "needed to get done". Have a great day my friends!
