Where do you get those bat leftovers?

 

My buddy makes baseball bats in his spare time. Now that he wetshaves it looks like brushes will also be created.

Darn. Guess I'll just have to buy whole chunks. Louisville slugger apparently doesn't sell them off through their web site

 

I have been doing a bunch if digging for blanks online. Some places sell 4 and 5 backs of 1.5x4 blanks.


Right after I ordered the blanks I did I saw this. I want this so bad to turn a handle out of. I believe its actually enough to turn 2 handles.

I'm sure you can - just make smaller brushes, and make them at the same time. That way you don't have to worry about enough wood to chuck at one end. (so you'd have two brush handles facing each other. Once done, bandsaw!)

 

This beauty cost me $13 on the bay. Should be here by the 1st.
