  1. I have palmolive in a metal tube. Not sure how long ago tney discontinued the formula. Great cream.
  2. The reason I don't do the same thing is cheap DEs. I like finding good cheap DEs( under $10 usually) so I can play around with them. SEs are still the best shave I can get.

    Colonial Razors “General”
    Feather Super Pro
    Simpson CH2 Synthetic
    Reef Point Test Depth
    Witch Hazel
    Cool Water EDT

Deciding to use something different this morning, I dug the Reef Point Test Depth out of the cabinet. Test Depth is a take on Cool Water Edt with crisp scent of citrus, vetiver and amber. The soap is very easy to lather and I find it to be very slick with excellent post shave feel. Sticking with a 2 pass shave of XTG and ATG followed by minimal touch ups ended in a near BBS shave. The brass General really smooths out the Feather Super Pro blade making it much more pleasant to use. I finished with a splash of mentholated Witch Hazel followed by Cool Water EDT. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.

Shave 4 with the blade and it is still very smooth. The Sweeney Todd was fantastic as is normal for Route 66, but this morning the scent was just what I wanted. I am heading off to Houston for a meeting today. I hope everyone has a great day!

  9. Thank you, Doug! I hope you are doing well!
  10. Thank you Brian! I will let her know.
  11. I hope my CH@ open up a little like this one. Right now its a little difficult to face lather because the knot is so dense and tight.
Awesome New LC, Jim! One of my favorites!

Gillette Aristocrat Jr w Voskhod (2)

Day 12 of the Jr Focus, day 2 with a Voskhod. Face-lathered a decent lather with the Mastro Miche. Another nice shave this morning. Zero weepers or irritation, but I did leave a little stubble under my jawline by my ear. I'd still call this a DFS. Splashed on the Gratiot, it definitely has a great post-shave feel. The scent is starting to grow on me, I think.
    Have a great day all!
  13. Jim, thank you for your dedicated service in law enforcement. I can't think of a more demanding job or one that serves others in a greater way. My Bride and I recently spent time in London, and we were both comforted to see all the LEO's and extra patrols on the streets.

Happy 10th (or thereabouts) anniversary on your well-deserved (semi?) retirement, my friend!

Good job! shaving with a Futur type on 6, with no blood! That is an accomplishment!

29 June 2017 Blade Focus Shave

Pre: Plenty hot water, some soap from the puck and a hot towel
    Razor: 1966 Schick Krona
    Blade: Voskhod, 'Nuff said
    Brush: Omega 10098
    Soap: Regiment Shaving's "High Speed"
Post: Hot/Cold rinse, alum block, cold towelx2, Dominello Vitali Calming Post Shave Moisturizer
After Shave: Old Spice "Original" from my WCS sampler

Kicked off my Thursday with Regiment Shaving's "High Speed". Used the big Italian boar to whip up a lemon limey slick lather. Had a little extra time this morning, so I laid a three passer on my workweek stubble. The Krona/Voskhod ate it up! Near BBS.
Splashed on some Old Spice(can't get much more high speed than that!) and I was off to slay the corporate dragon.
See ya in the funny papers!!
  16. Charlie, is she looking to get rid of any of that stuff ? Or just looking for info ? I'm really intrigued by the Radio Stropper
  17. Wow! It's "super" platinum for the "ultimate shave"!

Way to use those adjectives, Laser. Somewhere, in an alternate universe, this would have been the basis of a cheesy blade commercial in the '70s.
  18. Thank you Jim.
  19. Beautiful photo. Good luck with the meeting Jim.
  20. Nice setup, love the basket o razors!
