Stupendously wonderful, magnificiently formulated notion! (That's "Good idea!" For all y'all back home!)
The sad part? I had the side of a computer open so I could check the inside, and someone asked "Hey, whatcha doin'?". I didn't miss a beat. I said "Fixing a toilet."
Well, thank you for Officially condoning my previous slightly Focused activities. I was pleased to actually stick to my plan last month. I did four soaps in four weeks and with only one Red Tip diversion kept to my injector/ twin blades & shavette. Having a glut of soap samples I'm planning on avoiding my full tubs & tubes. I may stick with a particular sample for a couple shaves just to reduce the number of little tubs. Brushes will be used to compliment types of lather; Boars with hard soaps, Badgers with softer types, Synthetics as the whim strikes. Razors may happen in an Unfocused manner, I miss my DE's, but I've enjoyed the twin blades in the Schick. Glad to see both vintage 30 Day Crew members, and returning recent recruits. Popsicle stick shavette... uncommitted at this point.
July=Barbasol? More Arko Challenge? Barbasol? Why is my soul filled with thoughts of Barbasol? I might even have seven different formulae/scents around here.... And Cinco de Julio. But why Barbasol? Techniques Trump Tools -or- It's a classic American product. -or- It's actually pretty good performer and battles a strong bias. Dunno. Figure it out tomorrow.
They're all pretty good. Not much variance in performance. Some are better at retaining moisture in the skin.
As a general rule this month I will use SE razors. I will change aftershaves each day. I will use aftershaves going from right to left in my shave den. Some days I will change everything and just wing it. Thanks everyone for a great June forum.
Where did you get one of my family photos??[/QUOTE] Not to be offensive, but your sister is a real looker!
July 1, 2017 Colonial Razors “General” Feather Super Pro Simpson CH2 Synthetic Mystic Water Raspberry Lemon Folsom & Co Capri The great shave this morning was an excellent way to kick off the July Focus. The CH2 synthetic aka "The Soap Destroyer" whipped up the MW Raspberry Lemon into a rich slick lather. The scent and slickness add a wonderful element to the shave. The brass General has proven to be the smoothest razor I have used with the Feather Super Pro. Two passes, XTG and ATG followed by some touch ups left me with a near perfect shave. I paid more attention to my lower neck as I went utilizing skin stretching. The result was a closer shave on the neck with no irritation. I will continue to work on improving the results on my lower neck. I finished off with a splash of F&C Capri. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.
