Nice shave on setting 7 with the Schick Adjustable. Smooth ride! I really like this razor. I like all my Schicks! They're each a pleasure to use in their own ways.

    Have a great day!

Hey man...Please don't take offense if we keep beating this horse.....But I also feel, maybe the horse isn't exactly "Dead" yet....

If there is anyway we can help...and you do find a way to make this injector work for you....I mean...
1.: injectors can be incredible razors....
2.: this was your Pop's razor...that makes it priceless....
So lets run every possibility down....one at a time.....if thats alright with you....and maybe we can find the problem

Of course if the dye is cast, and you are not interested, then we should respect your wishes and back off...
Let us know if thats the case....

Now pending hearing from you....I'd like to open this up...
I took your photo and enlarged the razor's head:
    image.jpeg

Does it look like the gap is larger between the blade's edge and the safety bar on one side than the other??

Is it possible maybe from this angle...that the left side of the blade could be on top of the tab that holds the blade in place??? I can't tell...the hairs from the brush block that tab...but it sure seems to me that that blade is out of alignment...But it could be an optical illusion from enlarging the shot...

Yo @twhite @Karl G @Billyfergie @wchnu and anybody else who would like to get to the bottom of this....
    Does it look strange?
Do you think when you dropped it...could it have knocked the blade out of alignment? Was this pic before you dropped it or after...

Maybe you need to take a good photo of just the razor head...
1 loaded with the killer blade in question...if it is indeed out of alignment, that could answer some questions...
2 and reload a new blade, and take a few shots from the same angle...
3 a close up shot of the spring, to see if it's been tampered with..

So we can compare....and make sure there is no shake, rattle and roll....that the blade is tight and behind those front tabs....Sometimes with a G, if someone has forced the spring open, there can be a dangerously aggressive problem...Can we see a close up shot of the spring?

    What do you guys think??

Bird, I think you're on to something here. That blade gap does look off to me and maybe it's the root of the problem.

I agree that some close up pictures should help in pinpointing the problem. I also would carefully load a new blade and see if it goes in properly or if it scrapes the stops. The spring tension could be another factor as a loosely held blade will make for one lousy shave.

I wouldn't give up on it, especially knowing the previous owner. @captnronfl , whadya say?

I agree it looks like the blade is out of alignment. If it truly is and not an illusion from the angle we are looking at. I would look and see if the blade is on top of the stop on the left side.

    Good catch.
I am looking in to it.
I'm not sure but I think you are right.
I am looking for my jewelers thingy to get a closer look.
If I can't find it I will indeed pull out my Canon and put the close up lens on it till I can tell.
It would make sense though seeing I dropped the razor in the shower before shaving with it.

I played with it but it still looks like the left end is higher.
Now where is that close up seeing thing????

It very well may be bent then. Don't mess with it. As it is a family heirloom, display it proudly.

My offer still stands on giving you another G1. At least think about it. Injectors are excellent shavers.

Thanks actually for taking a better look.
I did look it over before banishing it to the "Dark Place" thinking that something must be wrong...shades of the blood letting from my Ikon El Jefe.
    Evidently not well enough.
Still looking for my jewelers headset.
If I can't find it I will use my Helping Hand that is doing double duty as my blade holder for the Feathers I used on my OneBlade Core adventure.

    Yep you are right.
Take a look at these pictures.
Ignore how beat up the blade is... pay back can be hell...ROFMAO
Actually it's from me trying to fix it the razor.
I feel really bad that I dropped it in the shower and messed it up.
I'm just going to leave it alone and not use it.
I am going to put it on the shelf that I have my monitor on.
That way it will just be there and I can reflex on my dad from time to time.
