  1. I don't have a dog in this fight but how can you do 11 Days between 19th - 20th June? 63 minus 52 is 11.

  2. Ok, I have a question:

If someone has a case of Arko, which would occur first if they used it all up back to back with no breaks:
1.they would tire of Arko, go mad and give up, or
2.they would use up all their Arko?

  3. Typo - fixed
  4. Neither.

Come on in, the next level is awesome.

    Also-

I will start photographing the Arko next to the new brush as a yardstick.

  10. Love the Osage rub!

Ever since I unwrapped the Arco stick, and let it "air out" for three weeks, the smell has been very light and pleasant. This has allowed me to fully appreciate the great performance of Arco. Very slick and protective with the right amount of water.

I did have a learning curve though. My first mistake was to rub too much soap on my face. This made the lather too thick and dry. Reducing the amount of soap deposited on my face resulted in a much better, slick lather. A little goes a long way. And it is cheap, so if I make a watery mess, I rinse it all off and start again.

It looks like your stick will easily last 120 shaves. Thanks for sharing this project with us.

  11. Thanks! Veg and Osage are my fave thing to wear after Arko. I've never minded the scent, it's like Ivory Bath Soap, only more intense. Glad to hear you had a good experience with the soap too!

I wish mine lasted this long....

  15. What brush?
  16. I've been using a big boar brush, Semogue 2000 recently. I know that I could get more time out of it with a smaller brush. I have yet to try a synthetic either.

  17. Synthetics have gotten really good I'm almost down to exclusively synthetic now. The Razorock Plissoft line is awesome especially at the $10 price point.

  18. Yes. Smaller and synthetic would change your consumption rate.

  20. For the cost of the Arko, is it worth worrying about the consumption rate?

To answer an earlier question, yes, I could use a case of Arko until it was completed. I'm kind of boring in that regard. If it works, I'll just keep using it, and using it... Even now, I tend to just use one thing until it's gone, then use another - even if I didn't like it. (Rosa Di Bossalosco being an exception)
