Walking out the door earlier past the rack where I keep my CD's, I just reached out and grabbed one without looking. "Bridge of Sighs" by Robin Trower.
I know this whole group personally - in fact, a couple of years ago when they were in Montreal doing a concert, I went on the stage at their invitation and sang a few songs with them, this one included. When I got off the stage to re-join my wife back to our table, a few Congolese guys and their wives were blown away and one of them asked me "Are you sure you're not Congolese? You sing in our language so beautifully and you dance so well!" My answer was in Lingala (the main Congolese language) as follows,"Merci mingi, ozali vraiment gentil et nasepeli koyoka compliment wana. Ezalaka pona ngai, nalingaka ndule ya mboka na bino mingi. Nzambe apambola yo!" (Translation) "Thank you very much and I'm happy to hear this compliment. The reason is, I love the music of your country very much. God bless you!"
Chris, Perry is a very cool down to earth cat. I met him once on my way out of a good surf session down in south Beach Miami, maybe 1993.
Very cool! Jane's Addiction was the soundtrack for water skiing with the crew in HS (92). I even got Ocean Size worked into the PA mix for HS basketball. Reading that he's also pleasant company is really nice. He was mega famous at that point.
