I am very curious to hear what everyone thinks of this soap. It was the first soap I tried when I started wet shaving, and now after three years using other soaps, I wanted to try it out again. Its not my best performing soap, but it does perform well. It takes more water and product for me to get a good lather. The soap base they use makes up about 80% of the scent, as all the flavors smelled pretty similar to me. The drawer I had all the pucks in still smells like it. I hope everyone enjoys it.

I have enjoyed it so far. I've only used a synthetic with it to load the brush and the face lathers have all been above average. The tobacco scent is a bit different but not at all offensive. I'll give it a few more tries with a badger and a boar to see what I can do with it without "cheating" with the synthetic. So far, though, no complaints at all!

I tried to be chosen, but the bottle arrived in the middle of summer, and had leaked all over the box. My mail box smelled like hot cat piss, and the scent didn't improve when it cooled off. My wife also asked me to put it on outside. So not chosen, and wife hates it. I PIFed it. I have too much good smelling stuff to use that.

So I gave up on trying to catch up on June. I finished up with my injector, a vintage blade from Fuzzy, and my Shavey Award Omega Boar 10098. Have enough sensation back in the finger I tried to cut off to get back to straights, but have a few other things to work on too. I'm in for a nice safe popsicle stick shave. @Linuxguile, you will have newly honed blades for your Rolls Razor and Henkels Rapide inbound shortly, so you might have more razors to pick from. This month I will be focusing on using the big boar brush, using my TSD Yin Yang soap every other shave, and rotating razors and soaps. @mrchick, I think I will join you in trying out the four pass shaves. Three and touch ups have been getting me pretty awesome shaves, so if I can get the right angles on my neck, four passes might make it awesome.

I am happy to see I am no longer alone in my four pass shaves. So in honor of my other 4 pass shavers I had an epic shave today.

It is Sunday and I have a hot date tonight so I delay my shave until the afternoon. 30 hours since my last shave is about optimal then I combined that with CF lime. The Brian Brown is just on it's second shave, velvety smooth and oh so sharp. I was in the groove, 4 passes and no irritation and long lasting dolphin smooth. One last thing to do to ensure my success tonight, allot of Sex Appeal, I made a huge cloud and walked back and forth through it like a model :happy102: Now my success is assured :happy108:

Mail call.,. it is about bed time but I will leave with the pics. 1900ish Kampfe bros/Star new model. I am guessing the date from the fact that it was awared honors in 1900 and 1901. That is stamped on the back of the head. To say I am tickled with this from a $25 BIN is an understatement.

I am in the same boat. I face lather 95% of the time. Damp brush, load from the bowl straight to the face. Doesn't take any more than any of my other soaps.

Love the scent of the Tweed. Lather was very usable but seemed to want to fade. I need to work on dialing it in as I feel like I probably under-loaded.

    Cobra Classic
    Schick Proline (1)
    Zenith B02 Boar
    Mystic Water Raspberry Lemon
    Folsom & Co Shambala

Guy, @ram57 , sent me a some Schick Proline artist club blades to try out. Since the Cobra Classic has a lot of blade feel and is very efficient it would be a great test bed for blades. The big Zenith boar whipped up a the MW Raspberry into wonderful slick lather. I went with a pass shave with the first pass XTG followed by ATG. I did pay attention to my trouble spots and utilize skin stretching. Only one small touch up on the bottom right side of my neck ended in a near perfect shave. I will continue to evaluate the Schick Proline blades but my initial impression is very positive. The blades compare very favorable to the Feather Pro blades. A splash of F&C Shambala and I am ready for a festive day. We are having a big group of friends over today for Indian street food including Pani Puri and Bhel Puri. I am looking forward to having a great afternoon. I hope everyone has a fantastic Sunday.
