The soap has worked well for me. Like you said it takes more of the product to whip up a good lather. The scent of the Arroyo Cactus is a pleasant mix of floral on a citrus like background. I would say the scent strength is on the low side but that is not a bad thing. Overall the soap works well and I enjoy using it. Thanks again Adam.

Well...I decided to leave the Rise A.S. Cooling balm for the colder months. It was good to use it today, as it certainly contributedwell to my shave, but it's better when the days are colder. I guess there is something to that picture in the website of the guy climbing a mountain with the words showing "A Top Of The World Feeling".

    Razor: Thick-Cap Ball-End OT
    Blade: Treet Platinum
    Brush: Razorock Plissoft 22
    Cream: Simpsons Luxury
    Post: Alum, Listerine, WH

Still no idea for a focus, so I just decided to use what caught my fancy. I've been seeing lots of references to OTs lately and realized I hadn't taken one for a spin in a while. Two passes to an effective BBS. No real noise from the Alum but one minor weeper. Nothing to complain about, though.

This is rapidly becoming my favorite razor and it's one I honed.
Another stellar four pass shave for BBS. This may be my best straight shave yet. I think I finally have this straight razor shaving thing figured out

Post shave photo of a truly enjoyable shave of firsts. After an initial whiff the tub of Ghost Town Barber I wasn't so sure about it, but after whipping it up for the first run of the Stirling best badger knot newly mounted in the 30DC LE handle it produced an incredible scent which stayed with me through the morning. Fatboy on 7 cooperated nicely. Clubman reinforced the Barbershop vibe. Shave on, gentlemen!

Just purchased some Aqua Velva from local CVS. Shipping free(drove it home muhself lol). It had the "100th Aniversary" marker on it. Whether it began as an aftershave AND mouthwash or just a mouthwash 100 years ago, I still don't know for sure, but they made it aftershave only in 1935, so that's 82 years ago. Good enough.

Thanks, Brian. I didn't realize it until I shaved with it. The scent came alive when lathered, and the combo of the Stirling best badger with the 30DC handle is spectacular! What's not to love!

To hear my Indian customers talk about Hyderabad, I'd be terrified to try street food there.
