Perhaps if it was Allegro, or Largo, it would be easy to understand?

Thanks, Jim. The look of it makes me feel like The Great Gatsby could have shaved with it. It's a good comfortable shaver too!

I agree as well. All those rounded curves begs for a bulb shaped knot to me. YMMV

I've already been slack this month about posting shaves.

    Sunday:
    Gillette Black Beauty
    Astra SP
    Maggard Plissoft
    Haslinger Schafmilch
    Lisa's Natural Gentleman's Lavender balm

    Monday:
    Schick Krona
    Astra SP
    Maggard Plissoft
    Stirling Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo
    Stirling Sharp Dressed Man AS

    Today:
    Dovo shavette
    Personna blade
    Omega 10049 boar
    Lisa's Natural Absinthe
    Fine American Blend

Today was the first shave with the Dovo I received in a recent PIF. It's a very light plastic. I wasn't sure how the blade grip would hold, but it worked surprisingly well. I felt that the way it covers the tips of the blade makes it a kinder, gentler shavette. It doesn't leave a lot of blade exposure, but it does provide for a very intuitive shave. I felt like I would really have to work to harm myself with it. That said, I got a very nice, close shave with little effort. This is the razor I will be taking to youth camp with me next week. It is light weight and I know that the blade will easily last. It was my first use of the Absinthe as well. It's the usual good performance and the scent is nice and spicy. My wife said it smelled like Christmas, but not in a Christmas tree sense. It was more like Christmas potpourri. Regardless, it easily gave up a huge yield of lather. Two passes on the face and and a head shave with soap left over.

In another first, my wife came in while I was shaving and asked me to shape up her eyebrows. I took this as a vote of confidence and a "win" in general.

My focus on not focusing is really winning so far, Randy. My brush rotation is down to two until my 30DC LE comes in. I PIF' a starter set to a friend who is down on his luck and trying to save some money. He has to shave daily for work and was tired of paying carts, and when I told him about traditional shaving he expressed interest so he got my Merkur 34c, my RazoRock Big Bruce, some Voskhods and some Arko. I hope he will take to it.

I'm about to give away a second starter set to my second convert. That's one way to keep the AD's at bay (or feed them, I'm not sure which)!
