EVENING SHAVE Razor: Razorock Mission Blade: Rapira Swedish Super Steel (3rd) Soap: Veggie 2.0 Brush: Omega S-Brush Posy Shave: Cocoa Butter Lotion Today was my 3rd and last shave with this razor/blade combo, and it was awesome. My lather was a tad off tonight probably because I didn't use enough water. I need to pay closer attention to that from now on. If you own a Razorock Mission, do yourself a favor use a Rapira Swedish Super Steel blade with it. It's a perfect combo !!!
I really don't know how to describe this scent in a meaningful way. It is a bright, simple, cologne type scent. I do not really detected any natural type scents. I know that this probably is not much help, but it is the best I could do. Steve

Yes to all that - Have you ever smelled the RED Can Gillette Foamy that is still sold today ? I find it smells like that...
My impression: It's largely medicinal at first, and then transitions to a bitter citrus. The dry-down is a little powdery with maybe some sandalwood and lavender, but it's anything but feminine. This fragrance actually goes with just about anything and it smells great.
A light touch is needed for sure. I find that it is very maneuverable. And the shave lasts long into the day. I love mine, and find myself reaching for it often. But i agree, it can be a bit aggressive (without a light touch).
I shaved with it 3 times now and I agree the shave last longer lol but that can be because I went down to the pores.
Tonight's shave was with a trusted Japanese razor. I had a very smooth and sharp 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. Just one weeper under the chin. I didn't know it happened. This is a very well made razor. Razor- Japanese "Canon 650" Brush- Semogue !305 Soap- Stirling Ozark Mountain Aftershave- Vintage Avon Spicy
Cool, late evening shave. Got it on once again with the Sabre & GEM blade combo. Another 2 pass with minor touch ups and buffing. Amazing BBS and post shave feel without any irritation. I'm sure the Alvarez Gomez shave cream had a little something to do with that. A great Old School scent with a bit of a modern twist to keep it contemporary and fresh. Felt like I was walking out of a Barberia in Madrid or Mallorca Spain. Mmm....it is good to shave my friends. Have a great evening Gents..... July 2017 - Time to straighten up! July 6 @RetLEO-07 Inspired Vintage Shave Razor - 1918 Gillette Old Style Blade - (1) Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat Brush - Wolf Whiskers Custom Silvertip Post - Alum After reading @RetLEO-07 's post about his first successful use of the Fat, I got a hankering to grab the Fat and go vintage for a night. So, let's see. The Fat - first made in 1893.....check. Let's go with a Silvertip brush......check. My oldest DE razor, the 1918 Gillette Old Style, currently 99 years old.......check. And for the blade? Well there's always the choice of a carbon. Too cliche. None of the Russians seem right for this particular shave. I do have the PAL blades I haven't tried from back in the day. But, perhaps I just need to think "classic" blade to make it work. That's IT! Use a Feather. Yes, my brain went into overdrive and came up with the Feather as the perfect blade for a vintage inspired shave. With a Gillette Old Style. What's the worst that can happen? Well, I'm happy to say that the Fat was marvelous! I've been toying with so many new soaps that I had let it languish too long. I love the Fat. Still my favorite. The lather is absolutely the slickest I've found. And the badger was a perfect match for creating that fantastic lather. I'm also happy to say that the shave was bloodless. Yep, even with the uber-sharp Feather and the ultra-uber-aggressive 1918, no blood. As for irritation? The alum says there's some of that. Got a nice "glad to be alive" burn out of it and that's ok. Two passes and one minor touch up to get the baby in the house? That's shaving, people. I think one of these days I need to go for a one pass baby with this thing. I feel great! Vintage cravings satisfied for the moment. I'll get back on straights tomorrow.

What a great scent. I get caramel and smoky birch first, then a complex dry down. I think Bon Vivant would pair very nicely with B&M Diamond. This was an excellent shave. The lather was tops and the Astra SP behaved professionally in the Rockwell 6s R6. The toner left my face comfortable and moisturized. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
