Today's shave was with an Old Russian Beauty( Haaa). I had a 2 pass BBS shave, that went very very smoothly and noisily. At one pass, I had a near DFS. Looks can deceive, because this is one Fine shaving razor.

    Razor- Russian "EKSTRA" ZTV 1953
    Brush- Semogue 1305
    Soap- Stirling Ozark Mountain
    Aftershave- Arctic Ice

I shave with my straights on Saturday mornings. Last week we were on the road, and I did not want to take straights on the road, so I took the week off. Today, however, we are home, and I picked up my straight for today's shave.

The Jeeves of Hudson Street Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #199 synthetic brush. I did the two passes with the Lee Mfg. 5/8 and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I had a very pleasant three pass shave with my Charles Adam "faultless" razor. Stropped on a Drygulch strop, this razor gave a comfortable, near BBS, shave. To beat the heat, I used the Stirling glacial lemon chill and knock off Skin Bracer.

First time user of a shavette today. Its a parker stainless, I used Derby Pro. Went as well as could be expected. Stip pencil came in useful a couple times, the burn on my cheeks is a lil on the rough side. So I need to work on angle some more and make sure I reapply lather before going over any areas.

A good lather is always your best friend. If you keep cutting and nicking yourself, you might think Straight Razor. They are much more forgiving.

This was todays shave. First attempt ever. 1 good nick and a fair amount of burn, but I did it. And like you all said I will probably have much better luck with my straights when they arrive. [IMG]

Tonight's shave was with a Japanese Straight. I had a very nice 2 pass shave, that left me with a DFS. These were no issues. This is an excellent razor.

Razor- Japanese "Coral 1070" For Barbers Use.
    Brush- Semogue 1305 Boar
    Soap- Stirling Ozark Mountain
    Aftershave- Osage Rub

Very nice shave this morning. I got a bit of a thing about bison so I had to try this soap out. Our lagoons border a buffalo pasture and we used to have a true white albino bison in it (she died last fall). She (White Cloud) gave birth to 2 more white buffalo (neither were albino). It was a pretty big deal to the Native Americans and we use to find medicine bundles tied to the fence. The medicine bundles where strictly off limits and not disturbed, ever. Anyway, I find the soap to be good stuff though I'm a little indifferent to the scent.
