I have recently received a 30DC LE brush along with a Tuxedo and Cashmere knot. I also have a Rubberset 400 I am working on that needs a knot. What do you guys think about which knot looks best in each handle?
Tuxedo knots looks great in a R-400. The original knots were very tall loft & flat topped boar. Closest I found to replicate that NOS look was an Omega Pro #10098. It did require just a bit of glue plug reducing to fit one in my over drilled B-400 ferrule. The Cashmere knot is about the right color to pull off The Boar Look, but the loft is a little short for that NOS style. Just my opinion, but the Tuxedo looks good in the aluminum handle.
I really dont think you can go wrong either way! But im leaning cashmere in the wood handle and tuxedo in the 400.
I have to second that. If a guy wanted to go with a blond knot, I would harvest a boar from an Omega. Again, on looks alone.
Well, I came up with a "None of the above" option. @clint64 used a Boar is his handle, and I decided I liked the look of it, so I took an Omega knot out of the handle and went with it here.
