Really? The only alcohol products in Canada are made in Canada? Or am I misunderstanding you?

We cannot have anything alcohol-based shipped into Canada from outside Canada. No US, or any other foreign vendor can fulfill an order from me containing aftershave, cologne, eau de toilette, etc. Canada Customs will confiscate the package.

She's quite pathetic, really. She lays her head on my knee, and whines. If I ignore her, which I normally do, she rubs her face on my leg like a cat would. If that doesn't work, she then paws at my leg and whines louder. The last step, if I can resist her charms that long, is actually coming up on my lap. We're talking about a 65 pound dog, here...

I'd lose it after step 3(if not before). That is, give in to her demand.

    lollllllllll Cute!

My horse of a dog grabs my hand gently and then starts licking my face. When I pat and hug him he jumps up on the couch and puts his head on me. Hey, 130 pounds is kind of extreme to be a couch potato, no? One thing though which is not good about him is that when he sees another male dog, no matter how big or small he goes into a vicious rage. The bad thing about him is that one day I was walking him and a pit bull who was loose and with no owner around attacked him and my dog turned on him and killed him in less than a minute. He scared the crap out of two cops who were dumb enough to get out of their car and attempt to climb the stairs of our house when he was lying on our balcony. He was chained up and I warned the cops VERY sternly in French "Don't approach this dog. I repeat, DO NOT approach this dog. He's a trained guard dog and he'll tear you apart limb from limb. Turn around and get the hell off my property, NOW." One of the cops refused to heed the warning and continued coming closer and the next thing that happened was my guy stood up, his hackles went up, he started snarling at the jerk and made a lunge at him with his teeth bared. I had to grab him by the collar and it took my full force to yank him back or that cop would have been a pile of ripped flesh. I could also have sued the police department because these guys had no business coming on my property for no reason, without my permission, and most importantly without a warrant. I never saw two guys run so fast in my life. The next day the police chief said they were two rookies who were impressed by my dog's beauty and he apologized profusely for their stupidity. I checked with my lawyer and if my dog would attacked and injured these officers, or even killed them he would have been 100% in his rights because who are the cops to go on somebody's property just like that? Also my dog was restrained by a heavy chain, so I was fully compliant and obeying the law.

I had a great time with the Glacial Lemon Chill this morning and for tomorrow it'll be the Gin & Tonic on the Rocks. Back to a Glacial soap for Menthol Monday!

Cool. Not many breeds that can kill a pit. My wife loves shepherds.

I own 1 pit and we looked at another today.

That's something I really hate, and hope to see end. Vick should have been forced to retire from football.

We read his book about it and while i absolutely hate what he did, we came away with some understanding from his side. The people around him were the main ones involved with killing the dogs and training them. He was the money behind it. He came from a poor area where dogs were looked at as status symbols instead of companions.

Im not taking up for him but in a way his case brought some much needed attention to the problem. Its a billion dollar a year thing and it goes way deeper than we know.

He admitted to the outrageous abuse his dogs went through. My wife cried while reading it. Those dogs went through hell and there are millions more out there being treated the same way.

My friend has a pit and he's an awesome dog with a heart of sugar. The sweetest, gentlest dog I ever saw. When my friend saw my Shepherd for the first time he nearly recoiled from fright because my guy growled at him and raised his hackles, and also because of the sheer size of him. It took a half hour for me to assure him that the dog is just very suspicious of strangers but now the two of them are best buddies - AS LONG as you don't make any sudden moves near him or put a hand on my wife or daughter. In fact, this dog will not allow anyone near my daughter until he gives them his permission and in order to get it you have to first pat him for a good twenty minutes, then play pitch and catch with him. After that, then and ONLY then will he allow you to approach my daughter. But be VERY careful because he watches every move.

Good dog for protecting the family.

I saw a video on blue bay shepherds which are basically wolf shepherd mixes. They looked awesome. They are massive

Yes, and it's so great to read about the ones who were "rescued", and eventually end up friendly and loveable. Some of these dogs are just relieved to be given opportunities to be better. It's like the are saying "GET ME OUTTA HERE!"(meaning the ring business).
