At Washington's Crossing, PA side, waiting for the reading of the Declaration of Independence. Couldn't have asked for a better day weather wise. Just finished a picnic lunch along the Delaware river.

Happy 4th of July to you!

Still at work, but only for another hour & a half. Nice & quiet, no cubicle hamsters showed up (except for one lab rat). Just marking time until my vacation starts Friday.

My father in law took us to the local fireworks, here in Monroeville. We were right underneath them, getting debris rained on us...but man were they something else!

I tried out my new camera too! A tree cut off part of the view on the right, so I cropped it out. Enjoy and Happy Independence Day!

Well, I went antique shopping today. No luck in the razor department, but I did find one of the creepiest things I had ever seen!

My friend named it Uncle Bert....and it is lifesize! [IMG]

If you have the opportunity wear something red today and every Friday. And if anyone asks, tell 'em why.
I wasn't around here for my son's first deployment. But I was on that other forum and made myself a PITA(according to some there) with this. I was not deterred :)

Erik Redd Lizabeth, baby, I'm comin' to join ya.

I had to get a jump start at the grocery store this morning, so I took the car to NTB for a new battery. I should have just done it myself, but it was hot out. It's the original battery in the 2013 model Mazda, and you can't expect a battery to last more than 4 years in the south.

Do you not remember the last time you tried to fix something electrical?

I think I can handle a battery replacement, but now I believe my brake power booster is going bad, I scheduled an appt at the Mazda dealer tomorrow morning but am trying to find out if it's covered under a warranty extension. I've exceeded the standard 36 month warranty but have read about booster issues on the CX-9, generally due to diaphragm tearing. If it's not covered under warranty I may take it somewhere else, since the dealership is a PITA.

Well, good news and bad news. The good is Mazda extended the warranty on brake systems for the CX-9 to 7 years or 90,000 miles because of recognized issues so it will be covered. The bad news is they don't do warranty work on Saturday. I ran into this on a recall before, they claim it's because they don't have enough time on Saturdays because they close early and don't want to risk not finishing and having to hold the car over Sunday. I believe it's because recall/warranty work doesn't leave many options for buyer so they do those on weekdays to perform service work on Saturdays for those without appointments that can take their business elsewhere. So I have an 8 am appt Monday and will probably sit at the dealer til noon and miss most, if not all, of a days work.
