July 10, 2017 OneBlade Core V1 Feather FHS-10 30 DC LE with Omega Boar Czech & Speake Oxford & Cambridge Fine Lavender Monday morning again. It seems that the weekends are entirely too short. The 30 DC LE Boar did an excellent job of whipping up the Oxford & Cambridge. The trick to this soap is taking the time to add enough water which greatly improves the slickness. Three very quick passes and minimal touch ups ended a very nice shave. I am continuing to work on my lower right neck and the results are improving. I finished off with a splash of Fine Lavender. Jul 10 SOTD: Razorock Plissoft Brush Stirling Frozen Tundra Gillette Red Tip Rapira PL (12) Stirling Unscented PSB Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill AS Another smooth shave from this blade. Two passes, DFS, and some Glacial Lemon Chill AS. What could be better? A great start to this Monday. I hope everyone has a great day!
This mornings quest to forge through new soaps and razors continues. Day 3 (or 4, I forget) with the Delta Echo continues to demonstrate that this razor provides the closest shave of any razor in my cache so far, despite the fact that it lacks any history or vintage pinache. So on to one of the first soaps I acquired in my SAD spree but am just now getting around to using - Cella. I really enjoy the fragrance in the tub, but it seems to lose a bit of strength once lathered instead of filling the room. Also lathering in the small container is a bit of a pain. Having said all that, there is a reason this is an iconic soap, as it performs well and smells pleasant. Stirling Almond Cream smells very similar in the tub, so I may have to lather and compare in order to keep one or the other at some point. Gotta make room for future SAD purchases eventually, right?!
July 10, 2017 Razor: Schick E2 Injector Blade: Personna Brush: Razorock Plissoft 22 Cream: KMF fragrance-free Post: Alum, Listerine, WH No shave yesterday, so I decided to go for efficient. Two passes to a DFS with no issues. I've got an L1 coming today. If I can get time to clean it up, then I'll go with it for tomorrow's shave. I'm wondering whether I should expect an experience like my J1 or more like my M3.
