Finally got to clean up the 2nd Red Tip. It has a spec of plate loss on the cap but overall looks pretty damn good. Ill try to hit it again with a brush but either way Im happy.

The new shaves well and is a good go to razor for efficiency. You will enjoy them. My new doesn't get a lot of time in the rotation as I prefer the feel of an old type.

If you go to Home Depot and buy rustoleum Satin Claret Wine spray paint, you can repaint the red tips and it's the closest to the original color.

My Schick L1 finally arrived today. No pictures yet as I'm still cleaning it. What a PITA, though. The blade was literally glued in it with something that had the appearance of dried Coca Cola.

I don't *think* so. Besides, this was all up under the spring and under the blade itself. I'm thinking (hoping?) it might be residue (now resin) from whatever oil might have been used to protect the blade in the magazine.

It was definitely odd, though... I've had rusted and crusty blades, but never ones preserved in amber.

I heard they quit making this stuff so I thought I better buy some more.

An OS Shower Soap on a Rope (why did I just suddenly think of Ali's Rope-A-Dope?)
and a mug with a full puck of OS Shave soap.

Okay, you had to make me go count them. If I didn't miss any (and I could have); I've got 49 total at the moment (I give one away now and then).

Out of those, two are the cobalt blue (black) version, one is Canadian, and nine of them have an original puck of OS soap in them (one currently in use and two others partially used).

I've also got two of the coffee cups (not counted with the 49)

I don't recall which one I'm missing but I don't have every OS shave mug ever made. Some seem to be easier to find than others so I have a lot the same. I'm pretty sure I don't have a Late 01A so if you come across one I'll expect a PM with a trade offer.
