    Blade: Chinese Schick
    Razor: Schick L1 injector
    Brush: Jayaruh #60 synthetic
    Lather: Stirling Pharoah's Dreamsicle
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Pharoah's Dreamsicle aftershave
    WTG, touch-up

Nice and easy shave this morning. The Stirling soap lathered up easily and all went well. Looks to be another scorching day here in the South! Seems like I start off the day sweating and never fully recover. Oh well, it is what it is!

    Have a great day!

Great picture Perry. The last week has certainly brought in the Dog Days of Summer here in Atlanta. Be safe with the band activities.

I happen to like the generic Personnas, are they the best blade ever ? No. But they aren't trash either. I also like the Dorco Platinums (St 301, Stp 301), but I've never tried the dollar store versions.

The last 3 books are pretty good, Sanderson did a good job of keeping with Jordan's writing style. The ending could have been better, but I haven't really found an ending to an epic fantasy that I really liked.

I have a partial power outage this morning(big rains yesterday), so I could barely see myself shaving this morning. I should have set up my bedroom portable mirror in the kitchen and shaved out of the sink. The electric freaks are on their way.

Agreed on the generic Personna blades and the Dorco Platinum blades. The Dollar Store Dorco blades (STD-301) are an odd beast. I suspect they have only the minimal coating and they seem (for me) to only work well in certain razors. I really wish @NCoxSTL would get around to trying them as I'd like to see if he could quantify what the issue is with them.

    Razor: G3 Aristocrat Adjustable (4)
Blade: Gillette Rubie Platinum Plus (2)
    Brush: Floppy Chinese Pure Badger
    Cream: Simpsons Luxury
    Post: Alum, Listerine
Fragrance: Suede from Bath And Body Works

Another shave with the BQ Aristocrat Adjustable. Overall a DFS except for two weepers- one a technique fail, the other an accidental bump of the blade against the lobe of my nose. :-( I probably should have skipped pulling out the badger brush, though.

You may notice that I listed a fragrance with today's shave. I received a very unexpected birthday gift from DW and DD last night- a bottle of "Suede" eu de cologne from Bath and Body Works. Apparently, despite their various physical and emotional sensitivities to fragrances (particularly shaving-related ones), this was one they could both live with. I'm genuinely touched by their thoughtfulness.

13 July 2017 OLD Blade Focus Shave

Pre: Hot water, soap off the puck and a hot towel
    Razor: Gillette 1911 OLD
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
    Brush: Omega 10098
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
Post: Hot/Cold rinse, alum block, cold towelx2, Dominello Vitali Calming Post Shave Moisturizer
    After Shave: Canoe by Dana

For today I used my newly acquired MWF for the second time. The Omega 10098 spent about 60 seconds on the puck before it was fully loaded. Sprinkled a few drops of water occasionally while swirling in my Lenox shave bowl. In no time flat I had enough lather to shave two people.
The OLD/GSB combo rolled through my weekday stubble in 2.5 passes. Lather was slick and between passes there was great face feel.
On the half pass during the J hooking of my lower neck, I had a momentary lapse of concentration that resulted in an Ooops. Had to deploy the mistake stick for the first time in a looong time. Regardless still got a very credible DFS+.
One more shave with the GSB tomorrow. I could fell a slight drop off today. Have to be extra vigilant tomorrow so I don't have another Ooops.
Splashed on some Canoe walked the puppy and hit the trail to work.
If you live in the Tri-State area and you're working outside, make sure to stay hydrated. The "feels like" temperature is gonna be 103.
    Stay safe.

I've had a crazy few weeks both at home and at work. No problems, just very busy. I have been trying to find a little time to catch up on this thread, but I haven't found it yet.
