This on just says block meerschaum and has the stylized P on it. Smokes great. The bakelite took a bit to clean up. I am not a huge straight pipe fan....but this one I likey.
Still puffing away, just don't visit this site anymore unfortunately. Shaving isn't a hobby to me per say like other things (pipe smoking for example) so it's not on my radar to check in here, other than the NB and this thread when I remember. Keep the embers burning fellow pipe smokers.
These will soon be pipes of the day! @AGHisBBS thanks! You went above and beyond. The horse head pipe stand is awesome. What is the briar pipe you threw in?
No problem, my friend. I know you are just starting your pipe collection and I wanted you to be able to get a head start. The briar pipe is a generic knock off of a Kaywoodie, smoked very hard during it's life. I thought it would be a chance for you to try a "resto". Anyway good luck with the pipes!
Not just a head start but a good one. Today on the way to work had some C&D Engine 99 in the CAO Meer. It was awesome. After talking with @Bama Samurai i am learning how to smoke a pipe better. I had a bowl of straight VA in a Medico Lancer the other night. I was able to have a nice smoke and did not over heat the Brylon. I guess a old bear can learn new tricks.
Loaded the Stanwell de Luxe No.139 with Drew Estates Gatsby Luxury Flake for the ride to my father's garage. Doing generator maintenance prepping for the hurricane season. One of his older units has a Tecumseh engine that *someone* was messing with. The carb float bowl was missing. Since the company is defunct, I wasn't sure about getting parts. Fortunately a local shop knew a supplier making new aftermarket stuff. Brand new carb for $33 and it fired right up. The chest freezers are safe should we loose power, or until the gasoline runs out.
Thank you. Someone has posted photos of a Morta that has a similar look. Nearly petrified wood sounds interesting.
I got an email from P&C they had McClelland's 40th, but Smokingpipes.com had it a little cheaper and I get faster delivery from them, so I ordered 5 tins along with a tin of Astley's #88 and pipe cleaners to bring it over $95. We'll see if I have the willpower to follow @BamaT 's advice and jar it for a couple of years before smoking. My guess is probably not.
H&H Marble Kake in Chacom with a cup of dark roast, vanilla and almond milk for breakfast. Like possessing a cased NOS razor, I don't think I'd be able to resist. "Smoke em if ya got em"?
