I really like, I'll be very interested on how it shaves. Congrats on a cool score.

I have the same brush in red and it's my daily driver. Solid performer for a small brush. Nice to see one in a box!

I'd use it but I don't currently have a blue brush if you have a solid rotation keep it in the box for a rainy day.

I'll be honest I haven't had a chance to try a ton of brushes but seems like medium backbone and just a bit of a scritch feel (Little exfoliating but not sandpaper or hay feel ) I have another vintage that is rougher on the face, it pretty much sits.

I pretty much don't use the one on the right. The wife and I both use the Made Rite every other day. Just got a 30DC thanks to @jtspartan so that will def be in the rotation as well.[IMG]

I've spent the last five days out in the high desert...Guadalupe Mountains for a couple of days, then Angel Peak in New Mexico. I ran into town Tuesday (Bloomfield, then into Farmington), and came across an antique store that had a fair selection of safety & straights. Kinda pricey one most, but I picked this up for $7.

Tried it out tonight with a Treet Super, and it shaves *great*. Heavy, too...maybe why it's so good.

Those are great razors. Have you used the clog pruf or OCMM?

Looks great. Should be around the age of the last one I got 1902ish. Looks like it has blade stops and spring type blade guides...should take a modern SE. Hey @riverrun how close did I get?

I stopped in an an antiques mall by my daughter's house today and found some cool old advertisements. I picked up four of them.

I have one of these tubes, so I had to pick up this one.

A couple of more that I have matching gear for.
    [IMG][IMG]
I passed on these because I already have two of them, but was a little surprised to see so many in one place.

I'm debating going back and making an offer on this razor tomorrow. They are asking more than I want to pay.

When was the first ad from? Also 1907, looks like a single ring in the picture? 6-50 bucks for a razor? Given the time that would be an astronomical price. Factoring in inflation thats over a 1,300 razor!!!

$158.82. Not 1,300. Less than some of the current stainless steel offerings.
