Achieved a BBS with this beauty. Its a hefty razor too. I was surprised, but I actually liked the heft. Allowed me to rely on the razor more and my lack of skill less. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

Very nice, sharp, and well built razor. Razor- Union Cutlery Razor Co.. Union City GA. 13/16th inch, full hollow. Brush- Omega 10098 Boar. First shave with it. Nice brush. Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy Aftershave- Pinaud Clubman
It is, I like heavy blades. With light blades I tend to use too much pressure, with this blade I just let gravity take over.
Nivea Men Face Wash De Vergulde Hand Shaving Soap Jayaruh #2 Frederick Reynolds 5/8 (first shave) CWR/Alum Bloc Thayer's Lemon WH Lucky Tiger This was my first shave with the Frederick Reynolds 5/8 Rattler. The De Vergulde Hand Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #2 badger brush. I did the two passes with the Frederick Reynolds 5/8 straight and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Congratulations on SR shave number 2! How did it go? If it wasn't perfect, hang in there. It took me close to 30 shaves before I really knew what I was doing (slow learner) and 100 before it just came naturally.
