I am sorry for your loss, Andrew. I lost my grandmother last year, and I know it is tough. I'll be praying for you and your family.

    Razorock Plissoft Brush
    La Toja Shave Stick
    Gillette Red Tip
    Rapira PL (15)
    Stirling Unscented PSB
    Clubman VI Bay Rum

This was yesterday's shave after skipping Thursday. The blade did well again, and it is now 5 more to 20. I will probably skip today, as I shaved late yesterday. My son and I are heading back home after a couple of very active days at my parents. He should sleep well on the ride. I hope everyone has a great day!

Another day - another attempt at mastery of the 2011 R41. I am going back to, what was my most successful combination to date, Tabac and a fresh Polsilver SI. I actually dumped a twice-used Personna 74 after yesterday's less-than-enjoyable shave. 2 shaves! Unheard of. (It is possible that I got a clunker, but who knows?)

Found a winning combination with the Gillette Foamy Shave Cream&Stirling Sandpiper A.S. They work well together.

    Timeless OC (0.95mm)
    Feather (1)
30 DC LE with Omega Boar
    Mystic Water Raspberry Lemon
    Folsom & Co Shambala

There was so little MW Raspberry Lemon in the container that I was have a trouble getting a decent load on the brush. I removed the soap and smashed it into the groves of my Captain's Choice bowl and went to town. This is the first time I have bowl lathered since 2014. While the resulting lather was rich and slick, I didn't enjoy the process. I guess I have become addicted to the feel of the brush on my face building lather. Decided to go with the Timeless OC with 0.95mm blade gap for the next few days. I find the Timeless OC to be an exceptionally efficient razor and certainly my most efficient DE. When used with a light touch the resulting shave is smooth, close and long lasting. I bought this razor while waiting for the Wolfman Ti OC with increased blade gap that I used earlier this week. In the end the Timeless might just kick the Wolfman to the curb. I finished off the shave with a splash of F&C Shambala. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.

Beautiful picture and razor, Clint. The 30DC Brush looks great with Boar knot as well.

Thank you Jim. The 30DC brush with a boar reminds me of a classic vintage barber brush and it is a joy to use.

    A TALE OF THREE BLADES
    IMG_1808.JPG

Today I heard the call of the straight razor. In the past, I have learned that when the straight razor tells you today is not the day, you should heed its warning; I figured when it tells you "today is the day" you should heed its call. Prior to it's beconing, I had planned to pit the red tip against the flare tip in a battle royale. So what to do? Easily answered: pass one with the straight; pass two and three side-by-side comparisons of the super-speeds. This schizophrenic shave left a tiny bit of irritation, but overall was a great shave.

Unlike past straight shaves, where I powered through three passes regardless of the consequences, I stopped this time after doing my cheeks sideburns and neck, leaving the "goatee" area untouched, as I was haveing a bit of trouble keeping the blade moving, sliding freely in that area. Insert comments, and advice here...

Great photo! How do you like the Stirling Barbershop? I had the soap and splash once but ended up selling it. The splash had a sweet component - caramel or vanilla - that was overpowering for me.

I like it. The main scent I get is talcom powder, but I can see how it could be characterized as sweet vanilla. It is definitely a unique (less citrusy than others) Barbershop scent. To me, it's a nice change of pace.

Yes, the powder element is definitely there. It's unique! Of course the performance is tremendous since it's a Stirling product. Have a great day!

I'll comment on that, though your question was for BaylorGator..I had the same feel about the splash, but I love the soap, as I pair it with Clubman Original A.S. The soap smells nicer than the A.S.(talkinabout Stirling B-shop).

I'd go along with that, Paul. Today was my first trial of the AS, but I have used the soap with clubman AS before and find that they balance each other out nicely. Great combo for me!

Still tired, because the cat kept waking me up all night. I read that as "Foamy Shave Cream & Sterling Sandpaper". Wet/Dry for the win.

I need more sleep, but I won't get it now.
