Neck is a little rough today, but a really good shave overall. Not sure how long this Derby will last, but so far the shaves don't suck.

I don't remember this razor being so loud. It was like ripping velcro throughout the shave. Really sharp point and I found myself with a little slice and few nicks for the first time in a while. It all worked out in the end though.

My sotd

Razors:
1. R41 on a bulldog handle w/ Kai blade
2. Gillette big boy w/ personna blue
3. Gillette flare tip w/ personna blue
Brush - Tom B1
Soap - purple grapefruit
Post - medicated witch hazel
A/S - The Veg

The shave was to see if the big boy and the r41 are similar. I shaved the left side of my face with R41 and the right side was the big boy. If the R41 is a 10 on the aggressive I feel the Big Boy is 8.5-9. The flare tip was used to clean up.
I did get weepers on both sides with each razor and it's why I decided to use the flare tip. I'm BBS SMOOTH

You are a fan of AOS Pre-shave oil. Question: Do you re-apply after each pass?

Three pass with a light touch up for a DFS. I find that a heavier handle works best for me with the AlumiGoose. Folsom Shambala is an other one of my favorite aftershaves.

Doug, it's terrible that the Folsom aftershaves were discontinued. I love the Shambala and Black Powder so much, but I rarely use them because I want them to last as long as possible!
