The Maggard Razors Orange Menthol is an outstanding product. Orange Menthol is a clean, sweet orange smell with a moderate menthol kick. This scent is fragranced with 100% essential oils. Maggard Razors After Shaves are non-alcoholic splashes designed to refresh and sooth skin. They use a Witch Hazel base for its astringent properties, soothing aloe, and glycerin for its moisturizing effect.
Great setup and photo Doug. Between the soap and aftershave you had a cooling shave. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thank you Clint. Yes it was a cooling shave for sure. It was hot up here today so the shave followed by a cold beer was outstanding. Did you know that tomorrow is Friday?
Friday shave: Off focus for the maiden shave of a new razor. Today I used a Rocnel SE-G for the first time. I always liked GEM based razors but found them to light and hated the light, skinny handles... so .... I was just too curious to not give this razor a try. I don't use mentholated shaving soap when I am shaving with a straight so it felt wonderful to have this arctic blast during a hot humid morning. I found the angle quickly and four passes to an epic shave. No blood, no irritation and dolphin smooth face. This is a keeper and if the next several shaves perform the same way I will have to move my other GEM based razors to new homes. I only wish this razor was more aggressive so I had a larger window for angles that still shave. No, I'm self-employed. I almost never have a day of the week someone isn't demanding I take care of their business.
Much of my work happens outdoors. Day of the week is less important than, "Did it rain? Is it raining? Will it rain anytime soon?"
I know that one. I spent three years during college doing lifeguard work, and pool maintenance in the off-season. Some weeks I just felt like I'd never dry out.
