On this 23rd day of July, I hereby project DE Safety razor as the runaway winner of the monthly survey question.

    Jul 23 SOTD:

    Stirling Synthetic Brush
    Stirling Sandalwood SS
    Ikon X3 Slant w/Maggards MR5
    Feather (1)
    Stirling Unscented PSB
    Stirling Sandalwood AS

After a no shave day, I had to break out one of my favorite soaps: Stirling Sandalwood. It set up a great DFS with this razor and blade combination. It will be interesting to see how long I can go on the Feather as they have not lasted as long as other blades for me in the past. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Wonderful filter effect Brian. Stirling Sandalwood was my first shave soap. Certainly some good stuff.

At some point in the straight razor journey, you start to realize that you will make mistakes, and these mistakes will result in cuts and small slices on your face. You also realize that your body has the capacity to heal these easily and without fanfare, that bleeding from a cut is not that big a deal, and that prior to the last 50 or 100 years men were made of much sterner stuff. It makes me wonder a bit if progress is making us regress.

Where were you when I was learning my Feather AC SS with Super Pro blades. I wouldn't have my dueling scar had I known this
    Excellent write up Neal!

Neal - once I master the straight, the CJB is the final goal. I have some feather pros ready to go. Is it worth buying a tuck of something different to start? What's your recommendation?

Sorry. Error corrected. Paying attention to the Tour de France instead of typing.
