Charity Shave
I used Liam Cruz soap from Stache Soapworks today. It has a very bright and refreshing citrus scent and solid lather with plenty of residual slickness. All proceeds go to support Liam's family as they adjust to his autism. Cryogen made it even more refreshing and cold. I finished with PAA Gondolier balm and my face feels great.

Second shave with this razor/blade combo and still a fantastic one. Two passes and a bit of touch up for a very smooth and comfortable BBS shave.

Three passes for a very close comfortable shave. The soap scent notes are sea salt, dried coconut, eucalyptus, jasmine, carnation, vetiver, driftwood and seaweed. It whipped up a good rich lather in no time. The lather was long lasting, slick and had good cushion and glide. The Blackland Sabre has a good weight and is comfortable to use.

 

Today's shave: another new soap. Reef Point Espresso. It really does smell like espresso. Nice lather and the scent stayed - actually conflicted a bit with the Captain's Choice Bay Rum after shave. Next time I use this soap, I may not even use an after shave. This probably is more of a winter scent than summer. Rest of the set up was my Captain's Choice bowl, Gillette Fatboy with a Nacet blade, Omega boar, and Nivea post shave balm.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Tabac Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #206 Badger brush. I did the two passes with the Gem Jr. 1911 Lather Catcher with an Original Gem Cutlery SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Thanks. I'm running out of room next to the sink to take these photos. I need to just keep the soaps that I want to use for the week on the counter and put the rest away.
