There are soo many DE blades out there, what are your favorites? I know we will get many different answers, but it nice to see who is using what....... and what works well for them........... In the past my favorites were: Feathers, Israelis and Derby's Lately, when I use a DE.... I have been using the Red Personnas and they work pretty nice for me, , they could be sharper but seem pretty smooth....
as of right now (in order): - swedish gillette - polsilver - NOS gillette super stainless - german wilkinson white label
Absolutely, love to hear everyone's top blades and what your favorites are Sorry, hit the wrong button on your original post
Feathers in the Slants Gillette 7 O'Clock Sharpedge or Astra Superiors in the Adjustables /HD Polsilver in the Open Combs I guess I'll be looking for a replacement for the Polsilvers soon :sad023
Red Pack Personas are my favorites, but I regularly use Feathers and IPs also. Also giving Atra Superiors and Dorko 301s a try.
Sharps and Feathers are my favorites, but I have started trying out some others. Red Personnas were pretty good (Thanks, Neale). Had my first go with a Treet Blue last night. They didn't seem quite sharp enough for me or my razor or whatever.
Gillette 7 O'Clock Sharp Edge Iridium - Discontinued Polsilver - Discontinued Gillette 7 O'Clock Permasharp Derby Extras
About 1/2 way through a sample pack from R&B. So far it's Durasharp Stainless and DORCO 300s. I think I'd put the DORCOs first, since I get 4 shaves form a DORCO and 3 shaves from a Dursharp S. Of course, I haven't tried Cyrstals, Derby, 7'OClocks, Feathers, and many others I'd like to try. I'll also say I'm surprised how many people like Sharps and 7am's. I found both blades smooth (not irritating) but not very sharp (several passes to get a decent shave). I'm using them in a mild Superspeed, so I'm guessing the fans of these blades have more agressive razors?
I like the NOS blades and am very fortunate to be well supplied. In no particular order: Wilkinson Light Brigade Schick Super Chromium Schick Plus Platinum Gillette Super Stainless (The Spoiler) Gillette Platinum Plus
I'm into vintage blades also and the Gillette Thins top my list. The Super Stainless are very nice as well, ignore the Russian Gillette's in the top right of that picture, not good. I've been putting some Schick Platinum Plus through the paces lately and they are good as well. For a modern blade Feather's work well.
Israeli Personnas The only blade that I've bought in bulk. I'm not interested in evaluating additional blades, as I'd rather be using a straight!
Red Personna Platnium in my Gillette Super Adj razor and Crystals in my SS red tip so far.. I still have tons to try out with my sample packs.
