Fri 28th July Just had my first Mongoose shave with a Feather Pro. Having got used to the Razor using the more forgiving Schick Proline, I understand why first time users may have had mishaps with the Pro, as it feels ready to bite if your concentration lapses. With the Proline I got plenty of blade feel and found it easy to use as a Daily Shaver.
July 28, 2017 OneBlade Genesis V2 Feather FHS-10 (4) 30 DC LE with Omega Boar Route 66 Bay Lime Twist Folsom & Co Shambala The scent of Route 66 Bay Lime Twist is a wonderful mix of citrus and bay which last throughout the shave. Since I had the time the morning, I went with a full 3 pass shave paying particular attention to my trouble spots and skin stretching on my neck. Overall a very close and smooth near BBS shave. I finished the shave with a splash of F&C Shambala feeling refreshed. I hope everyone has a great Friday.
July 28, 2017- Proline (again) Razor: Schick L1 Injector Blade: Schick Proline B (1) Brush: 30DC LE w/Virginia Sheng Pure Badger Cream: KMF fragrance-free Post: Alum, Listerine, WH I decided to share the love and try a Proline blade in the J1. A smooth shave, a bit of sting from the Alum, and a BBS. I probably need to take a no-shave day and let my skin build up some dead cells again. On a side note, this razor continues to be very frustrating. When I received it, the blade was practically laminated in when the oil originally protecting the blade turned to the consistency of molasses. I thought I had it all cleaned out, but it reared its head when injecting the Proline blade. I'm hoping that an overnight soak in 90% Isopropyl Alcohol will clear it out once and for all. I really need to get a Hydro-Magic one of these days...

It takes a proprietary blade. But fortunately a de-spined Gem blade works fine in it. The Gem blade is a bit shorter, but the spring on the Clauss has enough oomph to keep it in place. It is a nice shaving razor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
