I understand your point. I never thought of it that way. I am loving the learning process that goes along with the nice shave.

We'll put, Bama. Ive waited a while to use a different blade for that very reason.

I promise that if you truly master one setup first, you'll have much more fun trying new gear. Also, we won't have to read another "I spent $250 on a razor machined from envium alloy equipped with kryptonite blades and now I have razor burn" thread. I'd rather read a "I just bought a new razor, and wow what an upgrade, so easy and intuitive!" thread. People are destined to write one of the two things mentioned above. The difference between the two positions lies outside the gear.

Not sure what to do with the Surrey, picked it up for the other brush in the lot. I may just PIF. I want something green but preferably an old Ever Ready or Made Rite. Hopefully I can track one down, saw 2 I really like and got busy and missed the end of the auction.

Progress so far on the Blue Ever-Ready. It was pretty heavily stained but got most of it cleaned up. Need to decide between tux or std maggard knot. Then Ill let the wife pick which one she wants.[IMG][IMG]

My buddy is almost done with my spalted maple brush. He's putting multiple coats of urethane so Im hoping it will be done by Monday

It should darken considerably given how the blank looked. Now I need to decide if I want a tux knot instead of the standard maggard.

Here is the original listing of the bamboo handle. He has a bamboo listed that I really like but too small at 2 3/4" Luke Pinion

To accentuate the black spaulding marks I would go with a Tux. Now begs the question flat top or standard?

BTW what is its bore dia?

Its a 22mm. Could possibly do a 24mm but I will likely stay at 22mm as we had to go a little smaller on the than planned due to an imperfection in the blank.

Really like a tux in that!

    Then I'd say a 22mm Maggard's Tuxedo.

I need to put in my order of three 20mm tuxedos, two 22mm tuxedos and one plain black knot. probably in the next day or so.
