Just won a Schick 500 on the Bay. Have tried to load photos but they are to big. I don't know how to reduse the size on my phone will work on it more tomorrow.

 

Just adopted my first two Jayaruh Brushes; #111 and 112.

Still thinking about what knots I'll install when they arrive, but very happy.

No. It was the European one. Black case. Looked sweet. I got for $28 plus $2.67 shipping.

Nice one. That's one of the later ones with a L-type handle. I believe they are somewhat less common than the J-type 500's.

 

As promised here are the pics of the Schick 500.

 

A very nice member tipped me off to this auction so since a green is missing from my collection I decided to pick it up. Hoping I can restore the rest to cover the cost. Looks like I need to order a bunch of knots now!

Knots ordered for handles I've made from moose antler ...

* 2 - 24/68 pure black badger
* 3 - 23.5/68 silvertip badger
* 4 - 19mm synthetic
* 1 - 23.5/70 silvertip
* 1 - 21/65 two band badger

Just a little on edge, as this is quite a large order for me, though I've been generally pleased with previous knots from the same suppliers over the past few years. I've already drilled and finished the handles, so hope fitting and setting the knots gives me some satisfaction, and not a world of grief!
