    SOTD: Early morning shave using this vintage Solingen-made 'Star of David' 5/8" round-point razor from Böhler-Stahl; Route 66 'Cavendish' lanolin shave soap and matching aftershave balm, vintage 1905 Rubberset boar brush. One of my smoothest, easiest-to-use razors. A favorite. Have a great Saturday, gents!

    After being inspired by @Paul Turner I used the Glacial Wintergreen trio and what a wonderful, FRIGID three pass BBS shave I had. It's surprising how my Astra blade is still holding up!

    Well, I did two audibles at the sink this morning, so here's my revised shave:

    prep-Dove 4 Men Bodywash(Deep Clean, no menthol)in shower
    shave-Barbasol Mtn. Blast
    razor-Gillette Sensor Deuce Pivot DisposeABLE
    A.S.-Sandalwood(from Wet Shaving Products)**

    **     this will run out long before its shave soap counterpart, I do believe.

    Soap: Stirling Gentleman
    Razor: Gillette Fat Boy
    Blade: Vintage Gillette Platinum Plus (Shave #2)
    Brush: Cowboy Classic/Whipped Dog Silvertip-24mmx54mm
    Aftershave: Stirling Gentleman w/Menthol

    WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

    Stirling Gentleman today. 20 seconds to load the Cowboy Classic/Whipped Dog Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Gillette Platinum Plus in the Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with Stirling Gentleman w/menthol aftershave.

    SOTD July 22-28, 2017

    This photo sums up my shaves for the past week. I've been completely slammed with work and have been shaving in the evenings. Still working on this sample of Soap Commander Courage. Has around 15 shaves on it now. I've also used some samples of aftershaves like the TSD Barber Shoppe in the photo. Good shaves but haven't had the time for consistent photos and posting, etc. I catch up on the thread when I can. This will slow down soon and I'll be back to a more normal routine.

    Thank you. I'm not a fragrance person so hard for me to describe. Definitely cologne type scent and to me similar but a little more refined that Cerruti 1881 if you have tried that cologne. Excellent shave performance and a keeper in my book.

    Nice Saturday shave decided to break out some Cade, haven't used it in a while. I like this soap pretty easy to lather decent although weak scent and fairly slick. Wish it had a better post shave feel though I find it a little drying.
