What Straight Razor Did You Use Today?

This Frederick Reynolds is moving up the list of my favorite razors. It gives me a wonderful shave every time

 

Da, this Russian was calling. It was one of the razors I refreshed recently. It was a wonderful combination of sharp and smooth.

I wasn't going to do this until tomorrow, but since I didn't shave yesterday, why not. I entered into the service of the Dark Side. Basically I just took my time and was surprised that I only had two tiny weepers caused by trying to trim around my goatee. I wasn't going for a BBS shave as I was trying not to slice open my throat and went with one pass WTG. No cold water today, went with hot as I felt I might be better with it until I get my technique down better. So overall, I was pleased that it was a decent DFS and didn't need towels to wipe up any spilled blood.

I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Soap Commander Renewal Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #206 Badger brush. I did the two passes with the Lee Mfg. Straight and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Re-scaled this today and ran it acroos my face for a dfs-bbs

I tried 2 different razors today. The Kewtie, and the Gillette Tech. Not really sure about the Kewtie but love the Tech.
