Excellent! I stopped drinking 14 years ago. You will do it the same way I did. One day at a time, living in the present reality.
I am late to the thread, but as a cancer survivor myself (about a year later than your wife), I know this is something to be thankful for.
Thank you, Jim. You (and your family) have traveled a difficult road. I am grateful and I praise the Lord that you're a 16-year cancer survivor.
Thank you, Chris for starting this great thread. I have lots to be thankful for, as I have had a blessed life. I am thankful God is good. He has blessed me with a wonderful family. I am thankful for my wife who let my kids and I get a new puppy, which continues to have accidents on the house. She called me the other day to tell me that God has placed this dog in our lives to teach her patience. She has a way of making me look past lifes problems to find God's hand.
Being just old enough to have been to a few shows, your posting reminds me of the time...... Sorry I forgot.
I went to exactly one show. My interest in the Grateful Dead is that of a musician, I wasn't a Deadhead. Greatest touring rock and roll act of all time. Hope you had fond memories!
You couldn't be more right, Hoss... Good choice. P.S. I tear up a little every time I hear that song. I married her. ( Course you know that....)
