It was a great month of shaves. I managed 20 on a Rapira PL blade, which was definitely a personal record for me. During the last couple of months I had another Russian blade goes for 16, so a strong showing from the Russians. The Feather didn't quite make it as long, but still 6 shaves. Not too bad.

I had lots of fun as well. Thanks everyone for a good time. I hope everyone has a great day!

A wonderful shave is a great way to start the week. The big 400 lathered up the MW Lavender Lime into a rich, slick lather. The trick with MW soaps is to take the time loading the soap with a well shaken damp brush. You want a shiny pasty coating on the puck and the brush before beginning to lather. The window for water is somewhat small so add water slowly. For those that face lather finishing up with paint brush strokes really makes a difference. If you live in a hard water area MW can prove to be very difficult. I went with a two pass shave, XTG followed by ATG. Skin stretching minimized the amount of touch ups. The end result was a smooth near perfect shave. I finished with a splash of F&C Shambala. I hope everyone has a great Monday. I am off to try and see the Doctors today. I have been fighting ongoing abdominal pain for the last 2-3 weeks and perhaps some tests will provide answers.

    July 2017 Recap

My Focus for the month was improving the results of my shaves along my neck. I have one spot on the bottom right neck that is my constants nemesis. By using skin stretching and buffing the area, the shave results have improved dramatically. I will continue to work on that area in the future.

As always, I have enjoyed following the posts and watching everyone progress. Thanks again for a great month.

Good Monday morning my fellow Denizens!! Last day of July. Adjustable August awaits! This week and next will be taken up with my final blade auditions for my OLD. Then I will break out my '71 SA-109
IMG_0244.JPG Loaded with the Voskhod, it's a stubble killer.
    On to today's shave!
Since it's Menthol Monday, I had a tough call. "Sunrise" or C O Bigelow?
Catie's Bubbles "Sunrise" won the coin toss and kicked off the week in fine style. Using @Jayaruh's Special Edition brush, I whipped up a great lather. Slick, smelled fantastic and left a nice Post face feel. The OLD/Rapira duo mowed down my workweek stubble in 2.5 passes of shaving excellence.
It's gonna be about 89 in the Great Garden State today, so I splashed on some Proraso Green Lozione Dopobarba. Very cooling!
    Happy Monday people!!
May your day lead you to an opportunity to excel!!

Thank you Randy and Jim. :happy088: Many times I take the pictures for the upcoming week on Saturday or Sunday afternoon. The calendar app on the phone helps me remember which photo goes with each day. :D

You are more organized than I. Many times my product choices are inspired by discussion here at TSD. Sometimes just moments before I shave.

For most of the year I have been on a brush and soap a week so that makes things more organized.

You had some great blade runs Jim! And only used 2 blades for the month!
Very nice photo, Clint! I hope you get some relief!
    Another great month, Clint!

    RyX DoH!

I tried the Soap of the Week Focus. It gave a different perspective as the pucks got more hydrated from repeated use. Also made for easier loading of badger brushes. Since I tend towards every other days shaves & have more soaps than I can cycle through in a month, boar and synth brushes are chosen more often. Epiphany! I understand myself a little better.
Thanks for what you do Clint!
