My face feels frozen solid - the Glacial Spearmint soap and balm did a beautiful number on me. Three passes cleaned me up BBS, and afterwards I slapped on the Krampert's Frostbite aftershave for some more iciness. The Rapira blade doesn't seem to be quite as sharp as an Astra, but I'd still say it's pretty darned good!

Cool Shave
The Slugger and an almost irrational amount of water went into the making of optimal lather this morning. The Rockwell made smooth and easy work of my stubble, and the matching aftershave finished up with some welcome menthol and skincare.
Prep: Myrsol Emulsion
Soap: B&M Reserve Cool

Hi Alan,
I guess I just am unfamiliar with this razor. I haven't been in the Razor-Market for a while now. RAD had long since abated. ( Can't say the same thing about SAD and BAD!)
I ask about the shim, because razors from that era were manufactured for razor blades that were thicker than today's modern blades. I use one shim in my 1921 Big Fellow and I think it gives me a more efficient shave. (Maybe it's all in my addled mind)

Thanks, but all the credit should go to @twhite , he made the handle. All I did was install the knot, and use it.

 

It is an excellent soap - the lather is very slick and creamy. The scent is exactly like the aftershave, but the soap has no menthol. It is every bit as good as the B&M glissant base.
