Proraso White Tub today. 20 seconds to load the Plisson Badger brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Vintage Gillette Platinum Plus still in the Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close shave. I finished with Stirling Barbershop w/Menthol aftershave.

SOTD: First day of August & thought I'd mix it up with a non-vintage safety razor—Merkur 39C Slantbar 'The Sledgehammer,' Feather hi-stainless blade, Stirling 'Coniferous' mentholated tallow soap, Stirling 'Kong' synthetic & 'Tuscany' post-shave balm. My first DE shave in about 6+ weeks and was quite pleased with the results. Fast. Easy. Smooth, with no irritation. One trickle of blood (oops!). Have a blessed Tuesday, gents!

Notice any difference between V1 and V2? Mine came in yesterday and will be awhile before I use the V2. Hopefully a little closer shave. Feels a little heavier than the V1.

Do you spin and shave at the same time? Just wondering.

 

Actually Joseph he's probably spinning before, after, and during. Shaving doesn't have anything to do with it. He's a Sonoran desert dweller.

 

I have the V1 Core and never exchanged it. I only have the V2 Stainless Genesis but I do really enjoy the way it shaves.

I'm a little confused. You have the V1 and the V2, but only use the V2?

got lazy ,6 days growth.2 pass combination shave;setting 5 pass 1,setting 3 pass 2.
awesome cold dfs shave,no drama.razor works like a champ.

The Oneblade Core is made out of polymer and I have the 1st version of it. They made some changes and offered an exchange to V2 but I declined. I have the Core in my travel bag.

Oneblade made two versions of the stainless steel razors as well. I have the V2 of the stainless one and have been using it on work days for the last couple of weeks. That is the one in today's photo.
