    Got these two brushes from @Linuxguile to have them re-knotted........

    They look fabulous Jim, the knot in the surrey is actually a 3 band TGN synthetic. I can't wait to try them!

    Andrew had it partially removed. I just used a drill bit on the rotary tool and slowly kept it moving from the center out in a circular motion. Then when it's about done, I used a sanding drum to smooth it out and enlarge it some for the knot to fit.

    Thanks. I'm considering replacing the knot in my VdH Boar (should be pretty much the same handle) and wondered what was involved.
