SOTD: Vintage Wade & Butcher 7/8"—a heavy-ground Sheffield blade with an unusual scimitar-like tip. This change in blade shape can occur overtime if the edge is significantly over-honed with a heavy hand, but there is no corresponding 'flattened' spine wear one normally would find. Odd. However, I really do like this blade's point for 'detail work' around the mustache, etc. Blade is also scary-sharp. Crowne & Crane 'Cognac & Cubans' soap, wonderful Shave Works silvertip brush, and C&C "Tobacco & Amber" aftershave balm. Outstanding shave. Have a blessed Friday, gents!

First time using Liquid Nitrog... Sorry, Osage Rub as an After Shave. Great chilling effect! It will get much use during the rest of the Summer.

Thank you, Doug. It's been a selection process winner. Every time I find another FB there's a side by side shave off. This one keeps winning. Only one time I'm not certain it was better. Neal was next on my list, and his is same production run - E4. I might have sent him my razor and kept his.

Gem Jr. Lather Catcher with JR custom handle
    CVS carbon steel blade
    WD Synthetic brush
    TSD Iced Lemongrass SS
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    TSD 2x Mentholated Lemongrass A/S

I had used the Gem Jr. with the original handle before and it was just to mild in that configuration. So when Jayaruh offered up his custom handles, I was fortunate enough to get one. Much lager and longer and beautiful. Figured a bigger handle might make a difference. Nope. The Lather Catcher is just as mild, enough so that a decent shave is difficult if not impossible to get. I'll try it again tomorrow and see what happens. But for now, I'm still disappointed in this Lather Catcher (but not the handle). Now go enjoy your day folks

    Pre: Cella pre-shave gel
Razor: Gillette Tech / Astra SP
    Brush: Vie-Long horse
    Soap: Le Pere Lucien
Post: Witch Hazel / Lucky Tiger / Pre de Provence ASB

This was a nice mix of products. The Cella pre-shave gel was a new addition to my den. Nice product. Strong scent profile, but it works well with a unscented soap.

I had the BEST shave with my black beauty today! I feel like a million bucks! Today I used a new perssona blade in my black beauty (first time using her) with milagu black shave soap and my brush (first time using brush). I need to work on my lather but it felt nice. It was such a close shave and my skin is so soft. I did get a little less careful with my leg and now have a nice cut on my shin but I've learned to be more careful. Love the new shaving style I have!

    Razor: Colonial Razor The General
    Blade: Kai Captain Titan Mild
    Brush Handle: WildWest Brushworks
    Knot: Boss
    Soap: Nuavia Verde
    Post Care: Thayers Witch Hazel
    Alum
    Osage Rub
Aftershave: Chatillon Lux La Forest de Liguest

First try of the General this morning and I must say that I like it. The light weight is going to take some getting used to but it was enjoyable to use. The Kai blade did the job, three passes and I ended up BBS with zero irritation. The blade did tug slightly so I'm going to try one of the Feather blades next. I finished up with this wonderful scent from Chatillon Lux. How I wish he offered this scent in an EDP. Have a great day folks!

I love the scent of Route 66 Cranberry Citrus! Post shave feel is top notch as well. The Baby Smooth was fantastic with the Nacet, these really remind me of GSB's. Have a great weekend everyone.

I haven't shaved head in over a year and a half and got so exuberant at the finish that I nick myself. Oh well, I need to do that once and a while to remind myself it's sharp.:ashamed001:

It's a Stub-tail Razor Day, for me. I really enjoy this Pre-Civil War Era razor. It never lets me down. I had a super smooth, and enjoyable 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. I had only one small weeper, that I didn't feel, or know it happened, until the shave was over.
