Busy 2 weeks. Finished off the Old Spice vintage run and decided to add a few older bottles of Brut. While scouring flea markets, Craigslist and surplus stores found allot of other stuff. Think I'm done for awhile since I won't use these up in my lifetime. Going to sell off most of the barbershop stuff on Craigslist as well as the colognes. The Pinaud, Floid and the Hai Karate stuff going to hold onto.

An Ever Ready 934L and a Never Shed. I'll restore both, but plan on dying the wood one blue for my daughter in-law's Christmas. Unsure of what knot I'll install.

I was thinking along that line as well, but depends on what will fit. Even an Angel knot from EverShave looked nice and for $10 ... Wow!

 

Maybe I'm mistaken, but doesn't someone have synthetic boar knots? Would give it the vintage look, but softer.

But this is the same size as the Cashmere 24mm the Angel knot is 25mm.

I may go with a nice boar knot.

Haha I think my RAD will get squashed by the Mrs. I played hell dropping $50 for the Fatboy. Now I gotta convince her I won't kill myself with a straight razor! I want one.

 

Good news is the Gillette is a recoverable investment. Limited production, highly sought and can be sold for near/at/or above you cost, and unlike gold bars you can take it out and use it.
One day the lumber jack bearded Hipsters will start shaving. The value of your vintage razor will increase.

I'm waiting on these vintage 4711. I was the only bidder at $.99 +$6.95 shipping which shipping seemed fair. Hopefully they still smell good.
